In the wet weather, theres alot of time to be gained in the driving. For you and your competitors. No matter the tyre, the linechoice is just suboptimal. With the way the layout is, you could use the Kerbs so well to straighten some corners and hook the Kart in tighter onces. And even if you dont want to do that to your chassis, commit to the wider line. Use your body, you could for sure carry way more speed into corners, then you did in that race. Give some European Rainraces a look, optimally British Champs, cause they seem to have each weekend rain and you could easy surpass your competition, cause they aint driving the rainlines good either. Rain is Driver, not the engine or the Chassis. Its how you drive it!

Hi Domenic, I appreciate the comment and the feedback. You've brought up some really great points about the wet weather driving.
The line choice was quite different to the traditional wet weather line at this track due to the track surface. Yes, you'd definitely be taking a wide wet line if the track surface was smooth and there was no grip to be found on the rubber line. But this track has a very rocky, aggregated road surface, which allows the water to seep into the surface. Therefore, the standard racing line was the fastest line in most corners.
In Australia, the tracks are very different to British/European tracks. Most of our kerbs are un-usable. This track we were at, the kerbs are very tall and steep, and there was no benefit to using them in the wet weather.
As one of the tallest drivers on the grid, trust me, I've learnt how to use my height to control the kart in the wet weather over many years of racing 😃. I've done extensive wet weather testing and running on slicks in wet to get it down to a fine art.
As I said earlier, I appreciate the comment. But there's only so much you can see through a video compared to what's going on in real life.
The difference between tyre batches this weekend due to the manufacturing process played a massive role in the wet speed. I was the highest placed kart on this batch of tyres. We even had national champions who also had wet tyres from the same batch and it's the same story.

It's good to include the viewers in the action throughout the video and bring them along for the journey. I absolutely meant we and us.
