I moved away as I was tired of the street sleepers, drug dealers and the general dirtiness. By selling up and moving along the coast I was able to buy a bigger house and have enough left over to buy a decent car.

Brighton is great for students and people in their 20s. By the time you hit your 30's it starts to wear on you. By the time you hit your 40's, unless you're a trustifarian, you're glad to get the hell out of there.

I've been looking to move to Brighton but I don't know how people manage to live there. I'm a single dad with a dog. The average wage and jobs available are rarely above £24k and a 2 bed being about £1000+ pm, how or where do people live on low income. Housing association have nothing either, literally nothing in the whole Brighton and hove area.

The crime rate in Brighton is awful! Not great beaches either, filthy pebbles with drug users rubbish.
My family left Brighton as well as other people I know.
Would not recommend moving to Brighton.
