Starting at 4:13, What settings are you using on the guitar (pickups, tone, etc.)? What overdrive pedal are you using (is it set for max, also?)? Also, what are the chords that you hit for that little bit (4:13-4:30)? Going to try a 5420T this week at the local guitar shop and would love to try and replicate the riff.
Do you know what gauge of strings the guitar comes with from the factory? I just got one and like the feel, not sure if they're 10s or 11s (I'm an electric newbie!)
It's amazing how the right equipment can get you out of a rut and change the game. I've experienced that with surfboards. You need the right thing for who you are.
Big guy for you I have one and it's a beautiful guitar but they are basically unplayable past the 14th fret, the upper fretboard access is virtually non existent. The double cut may be better but it doesn't look as cool :)
@@bigguyforyou5054 Dont get me wrong, they are awesome guitars, just a bit limiting depending on your playing style. Its an awesome rhythm guitar but its just not great for big bends or shredding right up the fretboard.
I love the sound of the feedback that you can get from these guitars. 😎
just got my 2016 G5420T in Orange Stain today ... ready to rockkit Temecula CA
I picked up one of these in Gretsch Orange in April and I love it!
Great video demonstration - thanks for making it.
Your Demo makes me want one!!
now i have an aspen green one
Glad to see someone doing a demo on Gretsch ,and not playing twangy country licks. I love mine too. PS they look great in black too
I can totally recommend this guitar :)
I am glad you do :-)

I have the same guitar!
What amp and drive pedal are u using for this demo? Please let us know!

I also would like to know the settings!
when I got mine, I was told it came with 10's
Does it use a effect of reverb a little? or row sound?
Angus Marshall?? This guy was destined to be a guitar player, lol.
You have another orange gretsch behind you but it's g5420. What's the differences between them?
That's not a g5420 its a pro line Gretsch

Is this guitar good for jazz

You hitting a tasty overdrive pedal?
