i honestly love night driving. its so calm and relaxing and plus there are no people on the road. i just go for night drives when i cant sleep or when im bored or stressed out and wanna relax. night drives while its raining are my favorite times. or when its snowing. night or day snow is the best and rain EDIT: i hate driving in normal weather. wow i really love to drive in all the worst times to drive damn
I’m a beginner driver. Only have my permit. And night driving is scary as heck. I literally have 0 depth perception at night, so I’ll be 200m away and start braking as if I’m 50m away
Great tips! I just got my driving licence a couple of weeks ago and sadly none of my lessons were at night; not even late afternoon! I'm too scared to drive in the dark. Hope it gets better, this video will surely help. Keep up the videos, you've helped me lots and I've been on a Paynos spree lately, haha
put a P plate on solves the tailgater problem and people trying to rush you and they are less douchey when they think its a new driver in front of them they wont put themselves in danger just to irritate you.
I noticed the other day i drove to swansea completely different kettle of fish they was tale gating honking the horn at me looking at me like i was dog shit i had to take it off i felt like i was being singled out. The town im from people are not assholes and will give you some consideration specially to learners and P plate drivers
When driving late at night, especially on dual carriageways or motorways, and the traffic is very light or pretty well non existent, I drive well out from the inside lane (even second or third) when possible so that the headlights can pick out the eye-shine of animals on the verge amongst grass. This allows you to see much further up the road and adjust speed or avoid animals stepping out from only feet away. Nothing like a badger blundering into the road right in front of the car to send the heartbeat soaring.
Yeh, i hope i get zero faults on my driving test. Its on monday the 22nd at 11:00am I like night driving because its relaxing too. It's even better when it rains. I could fall asleep at that point.
I can’t see shit @ night, the used car I brought has all around tints including in the front. I’m seriously considering having the front windshield tint removed & getting am new headlights. Thanks for the tip about lowing the brightness of the instrument panels.
Hi Alex - good video with clear instruction. I lived in Australia for a time and learned to drive on the left side of the road. Dazzle is not a term used in North America or Australia - I like it, dazzle sounds magical!! I know that's not really related to driving. Anyway - good video for those learning to night drive. All the best, Cheers Rick
you never say anything about how to calculate the space between the sides of the roads especially when you are dazzled on a high beam of the vehicle approaching on the other side. for beginners this is important to learn because getting distracted by lights or darkness makes them swerve.
Tip: make sure you are on the fastest avilible route And in 300ft turn of your headlights *YOUR DESTINATION IS BEHIND YOU* *YOUR DESTINATION IS COMING CLOSER*
I was the opposite i did most of my lessons at night my friend was teaching me how to drive we was driving in country lanes i got so used to it when i started in the day i was more nervous which caused me to stall more and kept fucking everything up im more confident at night even to this day i passed a year ago i really enjoy driving at night sometimes i will have a drive around with no destination just because i can. I still keep my P plates on i find that other road users are less douchey towards me.
Even though i live in Norway your videos are really helpful :) i'm 17 years old and I'm set to get my licence in september and i have already bought myself a car :) used some of your tips for my last driving lesson :)
what i hate only about driving at night is that cars crossing with out tail lights and my car has a very dark tint and not very bright that can blind other drivers
my longest drive ar night is 14 hours about 600kms and the middle 2 hours was a hard rain but the only bad thing my car has a dark tint and i hate no tail lights.my normal speed was about 80km/h but can you give me tips that can see me farther at night maybe farther where my headlights can reach
Hello the best success that i've ever had was by using the great gazer fix (i found it on google) - without a doubt the most useful info that I've seen.

How is it going now?
Driving at night is fun when there's not many cars around. 🚗
It's always good fun :)
And then that one tailgate driver appears.

I have anxiety so when I drive I worry a bit I do fine in the day time but at night it’s like I can’t see that good and I worry alot
Drove of the road at night and now im very anxious when driving at night. I had no problem driving at night before the crash.

Driving on the motorway at night is the best.
Haha, I feel you. Nothing better. Try not to fall asleep though ;)
Yeh, that would be bad 😂
Potholes are your biggest enemy in dark

I agree, it happened to me!
Thanks 😊 I want to be a confident driver
I enjoy night driving to a degree, I have 1year and 8 months of driving experience. Less people on the road where I am. 😊
Tip: make sure you are on the fastest avilible route
And in 300ft turn of your headlights
