The only thing I can think of is to protect the Bride and Groom. Hear me out- some people have to go through the extent of setting PASSWORDS for their wedding arrangements and services because family and friends will do something to cancel or ruin it. Maybe this Bride or Groom already had issues with a family member, the venue was aware of that and when this person (who they don’t know and isn’t a bridal client) kept calling they might have assumed it was the blacklisted family member. I think they just wanted to protect their clients is the only thing I can think.
This is part of why I think proposing in public is a bad idea. I don't hate public proposals, but I just wouldn't want to be proposed to in public. My brother proposed to my sister in law in a pillow fort they made together and that's so freaking adorable

I was SOOO shocked when he proposed I knew we were gonna get engaged but I didn’t know it was that night. Some older folks just like the attention. For example, when I bought my first car ever, just a beater but it was with my own money, my mom took photos and posted about it before I could. I remember specifically asking her NOT to do so bc I wanted to enjoy the moment before *I* posted about it but she went ahead and posted it anyway. I remember clearly to this day bc it hurt that she didn't care for me to have my moment about such a big achievement

my mom(love her to death of course) is just like this. as soon as she hears even a whisper of news from someone in her life, she HAS to post about it on facebook. i remember when she learned about her friend’s daughter’s passing and she made a post about it before the PARENTS did… i also had to ask her not to post about my cat’s passing because it was so traumatic for me and i didn’t want random ppl messaging me. so yeah, older folks really do like the attention.

Disney is a great place for proposals. The cast help find a great spot and time amd even keep some of the crowd back and even take professional photos for you. On the topic of people having 0 control over their dogs, you also don't know if the other person is not aggressive towards animals or maybe have food that could be potentially poisonous. Someone might have an aggressive reaction to dogs suddenly approaching them due to trauma or just because they're a hateful garbage human who wants to hurt an animal. Someone might put down a box full of chocolate. Don't let your dogs approach strangers, because your dog might be the one to get hurt.
I also have an anxious dog who's NOT friendly. She's not aggressive, but she dislikes other dogs and will growl and go for the neck if she's too annoyed (she never bites, she just lunges at the neck as a warning). And when I can't avoid someone's unleashed or clearly uncontrolled dog, I always try to yell from a distance "can you get your dog? My dog is anxious and does not want to interact" and people are always like "oh don't worry my dog is friendly :) he just wants to say hi :))" ok but mine isn't friendly??
My dog is acts similar. He’s old and has anxiety. While I always have full control of him with a leash and collar. It drives me nuts when people just let their dogs run wild or just have zero spacial awareness. I get it their dog may be friendly but mine is not. He gets confused and nervous when confronted with another animal.

Mine had been abused a lot by her previous owner and other animals, so she dislikes most other dogs and HATES having her butt sniffed (unless she's mutually interested, she has a few friends that she likes), and now she's also old and almost completely blind. I might control her, but there's not much I can do when the other dog is unleashed or the leashes get tangled up because the owner has one of those recractable leashes and they somehow forget they can block it and not let it unwind more. I've had a few situations people would yell at me for tugging harshly on their dog's leash/collar/harness to get it away from my own dog. Like sorry that I have to control YOUR dog?? This wouldn't have happened if your dog left mine alone???

Its a public beach and it appears to be filmed from a distance so there is a good chance she didnt even see the person filming. She seemed to be struggling walking through the sand and was likely oblivious to the other people around her.
@Loid-Forger-Enjoyer uh...if it's a proposal occurring in public, at least one person in the couple has made a deliberate decision to share this intimate moment of their life with the public. That's 100% ok. But it's in public. If people are nearby, they will likely watch and may even come up and congratulate you. If they're dicks, they may interrupt. That's the risk of a public proposal, filmed or not. The public is gonna public. Well-adjusted couples will take unintentional interruptions and randos accidentally wandering into frame as a colorful, funny addition to their proposal story. If you or your partner don't care for that, then a proposal in a public space is probably not a good idea.

i have such a bad fear of being in the way. i went iceskating and a couple were filming a tiktok , i realised i was in the background and tried to skate out of the frame and then fell over in their video. i felt so bad after i apologised once they were down

24:56 Thanks for acknowledging this. I used to have serious cynophobia, and I’d get extremely nervous around even leashed dogs. Someone’s unleashed dogs came up to me once and I was visibly panicking, but they just said “don’t worry, they’re friendly!”. Affectionate and playful dogs are usually even more stressful to deal with though. They were getting way too close to me, and I left crying.
I’m much better around dogs at this point and am fond of them, but it really bothers me how some people just assume that everyone loves dogs and wouldn’t mind being approached by them.
It took me a long time to realize this bc I love animals but I try my best to ask people how they feel about animals before letting my dogs or cats near them

I do wonder with some of these how obvious it was that people were filming. I know that with some proposals, the videographer tries to stay hidden so the reactions are more genuine and the proposal is less expected. If the subject of the video isn't even aware that it is happening, how is a random bystander supposed to know?
