Goodness! Baby oil technique! I've not used THAT in over 50 years; when I used wax colours to create stained glass window - full size - which I then soaked in baby oil b4 adding to the windows of my father's house. The wax crayons created an opacity that shone through the night.
what a brilliant idea you never cease to amaze me i am definatley going to give this a go as soon as i get my hands on some baby oil i love it and your page is fabulous xxx
Please tell us more about yourself, The halloween you practice, You were going to go to Rome on vacation , Are you from Rome, Have you been there before, What do you like about it, How many kids do you have and how old are they. How is your country doing with the virus, So sorry for your loss this summer . It would be nice to get to know you so far away. And all your travels. : ) Thank you for sharing all these great videos.
I love all the products you use and try new things. Your are is so amazing I love watching you create. Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing. You are an amazing artist.
How neat are your ideas? We all think we have to have all of the " in art supplies" before we can create. You just use what is around the house. Love the baby oil trick and of course the lipliners and eyeliners. Hats off to you. Love it. Hugs
Beautiful page! Unfortunately my makeup is more expensive than my art supplies so I'll stick to the art supplies, lol! Love all of your techniques in everything you create! Thank you!
What a marvelous use for eye liner and lip liner pencils-that was truly inspired. Baby oil is made from mineral oil, so if you don’t want to have to immerse yourself in baby oil smell, you can buy a cheap bottle of mineral oil.
How did you think to try baby oil? What a magical affect! I wonder would glycerine create a similar outcome??? Beautiful page. As a side note, I had a years old dried stamp pad and added methylated spirits. Voila - completely regenerated ink and still using the stamp pad. AUSTRALIA - ANNETTE. 🙏🙏🙏💜🙏🙏🙏
Noit..I just loved this video for many reasons..learning about turning papers in semi-transparencies,and also found it interesting to hear about your countries day like our Halloween....and the very best part was seeing your page come to life and how you used the lipsticks..beautiful !thank you so much...on to watch another of your videos...donna

I've been wondering how to create "vellum" paper, this is such a great tip, thankyou 😍 I really enjoy your videos and love your art. Keep inspiring. Stay safe 🌈☺️
I would love to see your work space....the whole room. It just dawned on me as I was watching you layer your various paper that I've done this before, using fabric that was transparent .
I tried the baby oil before and I found it took days to become dry enough to handle, but the end result was really nice. Your page came out fantastic!❤
I had no idea that baby oil could be used!!! Geez, haven't bought baby oil in over 30 years! Do use the makeup items, though and they work beautifully!!! Looking forward to Halloween, now!!!!
I am enjoying your videos so very much! Does the oily feel go away if left long enough or do you need to cover with something? Was it white glue that you used? Was it mixed with water or undiluted?
Hi, just want to ask after it dries does small white spots appear on your paper ? I've been struggling so much because it keeps on appearing after I dry it out, which is not what I expected for my journal sheets :((
I am in love with the music paper with butterflies on it .. if you ever make more of thoose and want to trade it for something else then please let me know :) i have a hard time getting my hands on other stuff than norwegian stuff-like norwegian book paper etc,but if you ever feel like trading with me i would be happy to,i can trade it agains lace, trim, norwegian book papers, decorations, stamps, stamped images, die cuts or whatever you want, just let me know if you ever feel like it :) big hug :)
other crafters have tried this and found that it seeps, leaks and stains other things and prevents adhesives from adhering. Resin works and doesn''t seem onto other papers, media and can be adhered to other media.
I don't care for baby oil ,I don't like the feel of it, when you left it out all night to dry did it take away that oil slime feeling, I do however like what it did for this page

I am enjoying your videos so very much! Does the oily feel go away if left long enough or do you need to cover with something? Was it white glue that you used? Was it mixed with water or undiluted?
Thank you Lisa. The oily feel goes away, I used plain white glue
Sooooo interesting! The holiday you mentioned,, has it a spiritual component like Halloween? We’re not much into Halloween here in Australia
Thank you Melissa. Jewish holiday called Purim
Oh thank you for answering, I can research that now xxx
Oh! The story of Esther! Yes! Awesome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your ideas. Can you use ink stamped imagines for this technique with baby oil?
Thank you Esther. I don't know, you should experiment
Do you use laser or ink jet printer? I tried ink and water on ink jet printed page and it smeared. Your page was beautiful as usual.
Mine is ink jet printer. Thank you Kay
@Jill S thank you so much.
Hi there, I was just wondering does it need to be a spray at the end to seal it. Can you use gesso over makeup to seal it ?? 😊
You can seal with a spray. Gesso is not a sealant
@NoitArt would you coat both sides of the papers with glue if they are used alone?
Thank you for this tutorial. It is much appreciated.
Please say what glue you are using? Thank you.
I use the brayer a lot, one of my favourite tools.
Just white glue. Thanks for watching
So anything oily needs a fixative, right.? Also, are oil pastels the same as chalk pastels? Thank you.
Not everything oily needs a fixative. Oil pastels are oil based and water resistant and chalk pastels are chalk and water reactive
Hi, just want to ask after it dries does small white spots appear on your paper ? I've been struggling so much because it keeps on appearing after I dry it out, which is not what I expected for my journal sheets :((
No, didn't have that problem
I have done the oil thing, but not on papers that I glued, how well does the glue stay stuck? really cool thank you
since I let the papers absorb the oil overnight there wasn't a problem gluing them
For the baby oil process, Does it matter if images are printed from an ink jet printer?
Mine are from ink jet printer
How do you clean the glue brush
In warm water
try a couple of drops of lavender or peppermint into the oil then put the oil on your paper,it will make a card smell nice
Thank you Mary
I am in love with the music paper with butterflies on it .. if you ever make more of thoose and want to trade it for something else then please let me know :) i have a hard time getting my hands on other stuff than norwegian stuff-like norwegian book paper etc,but if you ever feel like trading with me i would be happy to,i can trade it agains lace, trim, norwegian book papers, decorations, stamps, stamped images, die cuts or whatever you want, just let me know if you ever feel like it :) big hug :)

Doesnt hair spray yellow the page with age?
No
other crafters have tried this and found that it seeps, leaks and stains other things and prevents adhesives from adhering. Resin works and doesn''t seem onto other papers, media and can be adhered to other media.
Mine didn't have this problems, checked on it and everything is still adhered no ,seeps, leaks or stains
Where are you from?
Israel
Really beautiful. How long did the page take to completely dry?
Thank you Maria. About an hour
I don't care for baby oil ,I don't like the feel of it, when you left it out all night to dry did it take away that oil slime feeling, I do however like what it did for this page
Thank you
The oil may dry faster by ironing it.
@gtiernan1. I also use all my old make and nail polish. Makes for some different effects.
