Gee,what fun,and you get to do it 365 days a year!! If your going to milk cows 🐄, 50 or 5000, you do it everyday of the year. We are so lucky to have farmers willing to work so hard!! Thanks 😊.
Thank you Stan!
I remember all things from when I was a kid. Good memories.
Gld we could bring some memories back for you!
Thank you so much sharing this. It brought back some great memories.
Thank you for watching!
I love to lean back in the recliner and enjoy your videos. So relaxing. Glad everything is going good I pray it stays that way for you and the whole family.
Thank You!
My word, that's a awful lot of work every evening, I don't know very many Irish farmers who would do that. You are a dedicated bunch of people keep up the great work 👍
Thank you John!
Thanks Aaron really like your farm videos.
I'm glad your family is involved in FFA keeping AG strong in
The Heartland
Thank you!
I enjoy your videos. My grandparent milked cows in upstate NY when I was kid. Your milk barn reminds of theirs. That was 40 years ago though
Thank you Jerry!
Jerry, where in upstate NY?
Chase, we lived in Herkimer
Enjoyed your video fun milking cows.
thank you
That a lot of work awesome job!!!!!!
Thank you!
I feed cows with a wheelbarrow too! You got a good channel here 👍
Thank you!
We love the 7-day series, wouldn't complain about a 365 day series
Thank you, I wish I could upload daily!
@@GierokFarms and
Thanks for taking usalong.
thank you for watching
Love your farm and videos. I watch each one. My dad had a small dairy farm until I was fie years old so you farm is a reall flash back for me. Thank you for doing what you do!
Glad we could bring back memories for you! Thank you for watching!
As usual another excellent video! Your videos are all very relaxing and entertaining to watch never a dull moment. Hope everything is well with the farm and your family. I'm hoping to see one of you replacing the beam in the barn.
Thank you Jerry!
@@GierokFarms hi you are video is very helpful.but I don't have this special cow .can u help me how to get this cow in Pakistan?
Well explained , great video , enjoy , stay safe , working hard always !!!
Thank you!
All respect, what a time capsule your operation is. Kudos for keeping history alive.
Great video, glad you're having great weather! I'll take one those pails of milk:-) My best to the family, from Ohio farm country
Thank you!
Another great video! I would love to see when you let the cows go to pasture for the 1st time this Spring, after a long Winter. I remember that was always fun to see. 🐄🥰 .
I'm actually currently editing that video!
@@GierokFarms Awesome! I posted that message before the video finished and when you said by the time that video was released, that the cows would already be on the pasture... can't wait to see it. 😊👍🏻
Awesome video. This in particular was great but all your videos are badass.
Thank you!
Love your work ethic, very admirable
Love seeing small dairy farms. No doubt the cows are happier then on the massive dairy farms where they never see the light of day or taste grass
We had cows out on pasture but then with all the rain we had here in the la crosse area we took them back off of the pasture ground to keep them from mudding it up.
Thats exciting though!
We had a cross conveyor in our barn that would drop the feed on both sides and then used wheelbarrows to move the feed to the cows. We could not keep up with a conventional wheelbarrow, so I added 8-10 in extensions on the sides and backs of the wheelbarrows. It increased the capacity by 75-100% so it took less trips, and allowed us to keep up. Less trips made it easier.
Thank You for sharing your wonderful family videos
I could have helped you out. We feed silage the same. I have a silo out in the open 500 feet from the barn we empty it on a hay wagon then drive around and pitch into wheel barrows just like you. We do it all winter long silo will be empty in a couple weeks. FFA is a great reason to miss a night of chores. My daughter is working on her American Degree currently. I can see your brothers involved with restoring one of your M's?? It is how my club restored Dad's MM Z back in the day.... (1984).
Sounds like a sweet tractor!
Great job man you are more than capable of handling it yourself,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Another great video! Thanks! Did you have time to reinforce the cracked floor joists in the barn? A video of that job would be interesting. Or did I miss that.
No not yet some time this summer it will happen!
Great video
thank you
I really like watching your videos ..dad can sure back up those trailers especially the sileage wagon in the open barn ..and he is really knowledgeable on farming ..great job guys ..keep up those great videos ..
That reminded so much of my Uncles farm just an hour south of you guys. Your barn for milking is almost identical to his except for the bells .
I know a fella who would feel right at home in that old barn.
I think your dad is very smart
Love the video cattle look good
Thanks
This is the best enjoyable video I have seen, This is the first of yours I have seen and I can't wait to see more.
this is such an underrated channel honestly you keep up the good work!!!
I started my farm from scratch 4 years ago now I'm milking 18 to 20 cows
This is awesome. All I need is one or two dairy cows, but this is cool to see. I'm inspired. =)
You mentioned silo feeding...would be interested in a video on that
Sounds like a great idea!
You could train you hound to push the hay up closer to the stalls!
I wish
I think you could make a video every day of you milking it would be pretty popular. Non farm people like these types of videos. Do what you want. All your videos are good to me. People are fascinated by cow milking I think. John T.
Thanks John!
Great video, thanks so much.
Great video! Good to see the old way is still alive! But i wish u and hope u can get a hold of an old feedingbelt for ur diarycows. Less hard work for u on feeding time before milking🤩
As a kid our mangers, or bunks were polished concrete via cow tongue...I always stayed a step away from the bunk because if u catch it with any part of ur boot, ur going down.
I think the FFA is like both 4H and Boy scouts. All three teach life lessons and how to work together and be productive. Sports just teaches you how to be a bully.
Good job fella! Lot of work
How do you guys meter your ground feed with just buckets? We alway used a feed scoop/cart and # of scoops they got was decided by how much milk they were making.
They get a certain amount of the buket!
Love the smell of silage and hay.
Lots of things to do when you're by your self isn't there!
for sure
Beautiful place, I would like to do work here, as ausbuildung in Germany.
Love your channel. And you are very handsome!
Nice video bro.keep it on.👍alots of love from Pakistan.
Are there any farms with small herds of 30 to 50 cows that are still profitable? I heard that herds under 50 are experiencing huge losses, but is that always the case?
How much influence does weather have on milk production? Does extreme hot/cold or seasonal changes affect it to any degree? Looking forward to seeing some field work videos. God bless
It dose maybe we will talk about that more in-depth on a future video!
Have you guys gotten in the fields yet??
Yes
@@GierokFarms same here!
How many milking units do you believe one person can handle milking 2 times per day in a tie stall? Is 7 the limit?
Maybe 8, but you have to have a strong pump, and a higher producer herd! More likely to over milk a cow with more milkers
Great video as always 👍 a lil too many cowbells though lil overkill
hi, I haven't seen what you're pouring from those two barrels you passed by. Please show me what it is?
the teat dips!
google translated it completely incomprehensible.you probably used a non-literary term.
This was a great video! What state are you located? I'm from NW, Iowa.
WI
Been there done that, all by myself! Lol
The barn is missing one thing a good stereo system playing Johnny Cash and other country music if I had a barn like that I would have one cows love country music.
What's a springer worth these days?
New to the channel. Why do you raise so many bulls.? AI contracts?
Who transports your milk?
Dream question.
If money was available without more debt how or would you change your milk house?
Q. Why do cows wear Bells? A. Because their Horns don't work. ::groan ::
How long does to take ya to milk ?
about an hour, just milking
@@GierokFarms ok , beautiful farm , I'm surprised you guys can make it milking 43 head great job
Where do you ship milk to?
I laughed at how casually and how OFTEN you'd say "All that's left..." and you'd list a whole bunch of things! Wish there was some way to reduce the amount of manual labor; the buckets of feed, the multiple wheelbarrows. I know it works, just wishful thinking for you.
I hear ya there lol!
Why do you think that he is in such good shape 😂 power feed carts are nice but don't keep you in shape as much
I used to be a farmer I would give anything to be able to be farmer again the same way these guys are farming manual work never heard a person feels good character
Great videos. Your knees are going to be shot by time you’re 40 kicking up the hay. Get a plastic snow shovel or fork before you limp around like me
Du bist mein Idol mikujava.Monster immer in meinem herzen, schon, liebe, wahlen, kulturell ❤ Sie sind einesm der besten Konzerte..sh
I hate winter
Why are your cows so dirty
