belobog industries is implied to be a russian/slavic company if i’m not mistaken right? i’m not russian myself but belobog in hsr seems to be based on russia and the name “Anton Ivanov” sure sounds russian to me

Kolyada is a Slavic holiday, an analogue of Christmas. Kolyada is also a Slavic god, but few people know him. This name is mainly associated with Christmas. (It’s “Kolyada”, that’s what she is called in the Russian localization of the game. I don’t know why in other languages she is “Koleda”. Maybe it’s easier for foreigners).
Anton Ivanov is a very common first and last name in Russia.
And... they have damn bears working in their company. This is 100% a reference to Russia :D

Idk why, but i played this part at 4:30am before having to get up and go to work and the end of the cutscene made me shed a tear.
(thinking back on it, it might have also been because i need to go work that i shed a tear)
This one hit different and solidified my trust in Hoyo once again. While the story may seem a little bland and uninteresting at the moment, especially after the recent wrap up of Penacony which I personally consider some of Hoyo's finest work, atleast in terms of storytelling, I have full confidence that it's heading in the right direction.
I have a feeling chapter 3 serves as the "finale of the prologue" as it sets a ton of things up, paired with the recently release Lore Teaser video. Big things are coming Proxies.
That's kinda how hoyo is. They start slow to build up speed and then they don't stop. Look at how mondstandt to Fontaine. Sumeru and Fontaine stories have been known to be the favorites of most players. Hsr is entering that place wotj penacony and let's hope they keep the trend. I feel with this game since it's instance and not open world they can really use the money elsewhere like story and characters which is what makes this type of game shine. This is closer to their roots in hi3
