When I was younger, I used to think the same thing before I learned to understand the art behind the runway. Some types of high fashion designers make clothes that aren't *meant* to be worn out on the streets by the average person, which is why they look wild and unwearable. They aren't meant to be mass produced for stores. The garments ARE art, hence why designers offer haute couture vs "ready-to-wear" collections. Huge difference but beautiful all the same. RL killed this runway though, the clothes look great!
finally a runway show that brought elegance back in their catwalk. This is how runway catwalk is supposed to be. Models walk so elegantly to show and sell the clothes. Nobody was in a hurry to catch the last bus to san jose.
Ahhhhh! Now THIS is what I’m talking about! These fashions epitomized Ralph Lauren to the umpteenth degree. The fabrics reeked of luxury. The quality of design was so beautiful and pure Ralph Lauren. If fashion, like art, truly evokes a mood and a moment, I was instantly teleported back to years before the pandemic when everything wasn’t and didn’t feel so sad, hopeless, and anything but fun, light and hopeful. I LOVE this era of fashion when the fashions spoke for themselves, gimmicks and robotic models fast walking to nowhere need not apply. And speaking of the models, they all looked groomed to the nines and very expensive. I loved the subtle interaction some of the models did with the audience. THIS is how you do a fashion show. It was the very height of American fashion. If money was no object, I’d be looking to fill my closet with many of these pieces. More please. With all the sad and crazy going on in the world, we NEED the shot of adrenaline this collection was serving.

So refreshing to see Shalom Harlow and Laetitia Casta on the runway again. They have such class and elegancy. From male side, Tyson Beckford definitely put a smile on my face as he still looks fierce. Also loved the overall old school atmosphere of the show, elegant clothes and beautiful shoes.
Sophistication with a capital S. Oh yes, the models were excellent with the slight smiles and interaction with the audience...a perfect touch! I loved that there was no overly gimmicky backdrop to distract from the fashion nor annoying music, just delicious clothes.
I feel like coming home! This is the style of timeless elegance my generation grew up with, that so many "unconventional" fashion trends tried (unsuccessfully) to make forget. A standing ovation for Ralph Lauren!
Love the collection (when was the last time your saw spectator shoes look that good?), love that he's using some more mature models and I love that they smile and connect with the audience instead of staring into the abyss. Bravo, Ralph!

Finally. To see models enjoying their work. After watching so many dark shows from Paris, Milan and Madrid with models that either looked angry at the world, or like they were malnourished, this was a sight for sore eyes. The collection is beautiful. I loved every piece.
Beautiful! We need this! ELEGANT, CLASSY, SOPHISTICATED! The models are smiling! Thank goodness! So many of these shows, the models look so somber and sad as if they hate the clothes they're wearing. Smile! Smiling makes the clothes look so much better! I noticed the the older designers do have their models smile. All of Armani shows the models are smiling.
Most of these clothes are worn by 30 and up. It’s such a vibe to put “regular/older/consumer” style models in the show. It’s a big vibe! It adds a smooth element. Fashion shows put clothes on 20 sums and the consumers are older. I would picture my self as the 25 model when purchasing at 45. Clothes don’t fit the same and make me feel like it’s not age appropriate to wear some of the designs. Not this show in particular but overall. Food for thought. Everyone and everything is still beautiful whoever wears it!
The female models are blue chip and great to see age and look variations with the male models. RL doesn't disappoint. Intermittable style and class 100%.
I’m almost in my twenties and have a job and I can totally see myself saving up for this. It’s just so classy and elegant. I also love the addition of both older and newer models that make it more appealing to both older and younger demographics. Brilliant work.
RL stays true to its origin, Aesthetic since the day it was made. Loved everything about it. It does not need any gimminck, just pure class and elegance.

His clothes rarely go out of style, and are great value per wearing. Some I have had for years, and his jeans wear like iron! Everything was so appealing! Even the guests were in black and white--mah-vel-ous!
RL is just classic styling, and I love seeing the spectator shoes being sported on this runway. This was totally gangsta! I love seeing the mixture of men and women models on the same runway without compromising to be a fad. I officially would want every last thing walked on this runway even some of the maie models. Whooo child! I love the edgeless possibility of RL because there are kids' lines, and a stylish person will have something of his in their closet because of great basic pieces. that can be wear as is but also used to accentuate head turning statement styling. Loved the whole "vibe" created with the music and setting that perfectly complements the looks. Kind of a "What the well dress person wears without appearing to be trying too hard ". I appreciate seeing the men styled with sophistication as opposed to the costumes they usually styled in!

Been wearing RL since I was 13 (female). Mom worked for B.Altman's in NYC, so I was dressed in RL early on. Been hooked (on the classics) ever since. I still have pieces that I still wear from high school (in the 70's) and have been asked many times "where did you buy that?"! Love me some Lauren!!
