Really love the art and i also love that the keystrokes are displayed so you can mimick this. Thanks! i'd love to see more space related flat design, i think the flat design principle goes good with the space theme for some reason.
Double click to the previous circle than click to the thing that have been create, copy and paste in that circle ( then delete the original dark long rectangle)
Could anyone explain to me how to do the same thing in CS6, i talk about the moment from around 1:24-1:25, when the direct selection tool is being used to make the corners rounded? :)
Personally, I drew a path with the pen tool that starts and ends outside of the ring. After that I held shift + clicked the ring and the path. Finally I used the first tool in Pathfinders. Did the same for the other part and for all rings (light orange and dark orange). Now you have a path defining the ring parts that are seen and the ring parts that shouldn't be seen. Ungroup these and then click on the parts that shouldn't be seen. Press delete and you got rid of them. Took me some time to find out how to do this as well. Hope this helps!

How to copy something and paste it in clipping mask?
Some of the steps have been skipped. Like cut and copy paste inside the clipping mask. Its not magic. Just that step is skipped in the video. :)
its just like another layer, double click the mask

This is for advanced users. I think he realizes that you know all that sort of things :P
this is unnecessarily hard because you did steps never shown in the video. talk next time or put more text about the key shortcuts. this is awful.
agree
Awesome as usual !!
Thank you
