Almost two years later and Accelerant is still the absolute best Madness Combat song for FNF, bar none! I know that might be a hot take to some of you but that's what I think, lol. While I'm still not the biggest fan of FNF, I absolutely love Madness Combat and I still enjoy all of the Madness Combat stuff made for it (In fact I think a lot of it is better than the game itself). I promised myself I'd make a remake of my Hank vs Tricky cover for Accelerant once the official FLP for Accelerant is released and it turns out that it was released a little while ago, but better late than never! The biggest improvements you may notice is that it now has authentic Hank vocals and the volume of Tricky's vocals have been adjusted to fit the song better. Using the offical FLP, I was able to add a few things to the song I wanted to do but couldn't before, such as the Hank and Tricky duet at 1:07. I actually found that Tricky's vocals sounded a lot better using SPLITEinhalf's midi, so all of Tricky's vocals that weren't in the original song still use his midi. I also replaced the stop sign sound effect with a sound effect from Left 4 Dead 2 because I thought it sounded more like Tricky was swinging his stop sign at something because of how impactful it sounds. I also wanted to give a shoutout to AppleHair for his fantastic Psych Engine port of Accelerant, it looks almost exactly like the original mod! Although Tricky still doesn't have a stop-sign-swing animation, the port is a lot more visually appealing and it allowed me to add a few details that I couldn't add before, such as Tricky's static effects. Though I muted the sound effects for the static and when the Agents get shot at so that the music won't be interrupted. P.S: I saw that Philiplol made an official remix of Accelerant. Although I like the original more, the remix is kickass, so if an official FLP is ever released for that version you can guarantee that I'll make a Hank vs Tricky cover for that version as well. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy this late Christmas present everyone!
0:21 Since the hands are Mii style (they're not actually connected to the body), you could just rotate the hands and get a sort of blocking + swinging animation.
Thanks mate! Believe it or not though, it's actually my favorite Tricky vocals, lol. I love how angry and pissed off he sounds because I think it fits Tricky really well. I actually prefer Banbuds's Tricky voice over his Project Nexus voice as well and I don't think any of the official Tricky VA chromatics have been as good. I will admit, sometimes you have to edit midis a fair bit to get good results with the soundfont, but once you do, Tricky's vocals sound REALLY good. Charmx's Tricky chromatic is good as well since it allows Tricky to have long notes but I find that most songs work better with Rozebud's soundfont and I think the way Charmx ordered Tricky's vocals make them sound really repetitive. I actually used Charmx's Tricky chromatic in a cover I'm working on and I'm really happy with the results so far, but I had to use slide notes to pitch some of Tricky's vocals to make them sound better.

That was actually intentional. I was thinking of changing it, but I kept it the same because I thought it looked better. Additionally, I kept it the same so that Tricky would have the same animations he had in his parts at 1:01 and 1:19 like in the original Accelerant. It also made Hank and Tricky's duet right after look more synchronized. Had this been any other song however, I would have changed it.
Basically, every character has a animation set for each direction. So when the character hits a right note, singRIGHT is played. So in this case, the character hits a right note, singRIGHT is played, but since tricky is flipped horizontally, he moves to the left instead. Basically put: they took a character that was coded to face right, and made it face left. All they had to do was swap those two animations, but ig they didn't bother lol
