Winter and NingNing are just on an another level. I think Chaewon went off a little only because I think she saw the camera and smiled. And Damn Yunjin with the Opera Voice :O and Liz's sweet voice makes me want to hear a duet with Winter. So unfair that 'Nobody" was filmed separately. They all have their own vocals, tones and ranges. We shouldn't have to compare.

Aespa members debuted later than two members from both IVE Lesserafim, but Aespa sounds more vocally advanced in their studies.
They trained for longer, ive is almost on their level, 2 very talented vocals + other members who have been actively taking vocal lessons

At the end of the day, people judge based on the tones they prefer but don't take the techniques into account. I agree that Aespa is the best on certain points, but that doesn't mean the others are any less good. I would say that NingNing is indeed the best, she has a great technique, a powerful voice and a great tone, whereas Winter would concentrate more on highlighting emotions with a softer, less powerful voice. The good thing about Aespa is that they're all excellent singers, which makes the group very complete vocally. Yunjin is a mixture of NingNing and Winter, she sings with incredible emotion while having power and great technique, probably one of the best. Chaewon is the most stable of all when she's dancing, and her tone is higher than Yunjin's, so they blend very well in the group. Liz has a very good tone but less technique, she can sing high notes but lacks a bit of power and constancy. The good thing is that she has Yujin in her group who, even though she's not in the video, balances Liz out well with her powerful voice.
I'm certainly not saying that you can't prefer Liz's voice or others, some people will prefer weaker voices to a powerful tone, and that's the beauty of singers.
I'd also like to conclude by saying that I think all these groups are very well balanced, with different abilities and skills in each of them. So there's no need to fight with others or to disrespect these girls if you don't agree.... They're all good singers

Most common talked about their voice tone and only few mention their vocal technique. Conclusion: not many people understand about vocal technique, so they cannot compare objectively.
Winter: always use breathy vocal. In Lee Mujin Service, she sang with her emotion. Ningning: Ballad and powerful voice. But she struggle sing RnB genre because of riffs and runs. Chaewon: clear voice but not powerful. She has good agility and riffs and runs. She is good in RnB genre when she cover Bambie from Bakhyeun in Lee Mujin Service. Yunjin: She can do classical technique and powerful voice. She usually make melody more simple. She prioritize the emotion rather of technique like Winter. But her technique better than Winter. Liz: need to work with her mix voice. She use head dominan mix. The voice tone is subjective, so you can like the weakest vocal technique because of their voice tone. Singing while dancing is different. Singer cannot belting high note when they jumping or do weird body pose. They also cannot maintain dynamic volume while dancing. So when dancing, the vical technique will limited and the requirement only sing with stable volume. More harder the choreo more harder to sing. Le sserafim have hardest choreo, and Chaewon has best stability voice when dancing.

True. I mean Winter just recently got a lot of accusations for lip syncing just because she did high notes flawlessly that people couldn’t believe it was real because she wasn’t struggling to reach a note or showing struggle.
@@anistardi Your analysis is not based on technique as well. "Someone struggle with certain style" and simple "powerful" even "ballad voice" is not an analysis...
Ningning has the widest supported range of them all, her mix is clean and forward, but sometimes can get nasal and too shrill. One good thing is that when she ascends she lightens up her mix so that she can stay there easily without much straining or sounding painful. I don't hear her head voice enough so I can't comment on that.
[Edited] Ningning's agility is actually above average. True that she might sometimes struggle with long and complex riffs, but she's completely capable of doing shorter runs, esp. in her upper register (see Spicy recording). Her head voice is very solid, in fact sometimes she uses it to substitute high belt and the quality is as solid as a mixed voice. She switches registers with ease, one of the best transition I've heard of among newer generation idols. Her low register is the strongest among the ladies mentioned here.
Winter tends to use either a breathy tone or a pushed tone, her upper register is a falsetto. If she can balance out her mix and work on her upper, that will give her a great push.
Chaewon has a clean mix however the nasality limits the openness hence the potential power. Her low is weak to average and her upper register is a falsetto. She has definitely worked on her agility, at times her riffs can get sloppy and the flow can be a bit unnatural at times. Her stamina is very good indeed.
Liz's mix is head dominant, which is fine by itself, but a pity as it limits her potential full power and she tends to get nasal at closer vowels. She has demonstrated head voice before but she mostly sings with falsetto in her upper register.
Yunjin's head voice is stronger than most ones here. It can be more mask-y and more well connected to eliminate the breathiness in her head voice, but maybe it's her choice here. However her mix (not showcased in this video) is one of the weakest, and the throatiest, among the ones that are listed here.

there's something about SM's process of training vocalists that's just completely right !! i'm just learning Liz is a former SM trainee and it just kind of adds up, it isn't about natural talent at all, learning to sing in a head voice comfortably, so that notes don't sound strained or tiring, that's something you just have to learn
