This bring back so much old memories I remember Roxy theater laying sure have change, I remember my teenage times, I left SG 46 now and I cannot remember any of these places. Stay safe enjoy as much good as you can, I only miss the hot weather everyday. This guy sure can give me a heart attack 🙏😘
Hello Phyllis 😊 You’re the first to miss the hot weather in Singapore 😅 Stay warm and Cozy wherever you’re watching from.. hope the Laksa warmed you up a bit 😄
Bei-ing wanton mee has another branch just down the road at Bullion Hawker Bar.. Same coffee shop as the famous Geylang 29 Hokkien noodles.. It's much nicer there than the original stall at Roxy.
Been wanting to eat the laksa. Went there a few times in the late afternoon but all the stalls were closed. I was hoping you would post the closing times of the stalls. Aiyah 😉
Alamak... Haiz.. They should make halal versions of these National dishes.. I see so many entreprenal malays making such local delights over in Malaysia.. and they're such a hit among the locals there. Can't rem which RUclips channel I watched from.
My Dad used to take me to the cinema in Katong for the afternoon matinee, we used to have a cake from the Red house bakery. We lived on the Opera estate in Siglap from 1961-63
Wow.. you moved from the west to the east in Opera Estate? 😂 find memories.. red house bakery was still around in the late 90s and early 2000 if I recall

I've always want to record a walk inside Roxy Square. Dunno why like no feeling now for anything else but rain walks. Even recording Changi Airport like no mood.
Rain walks are universal therapy for everyone.. but places like Roxy square might only be for locals. But orchard towers might be interesting Provided you don't get kidnapped there 🤣
@@Piggypuggy Yeah, actually, you're right... I recorded many old malls like Upper Serangoon Shopping Center and Katong Shopping Center... very limited viewership. I think for Singapore channel... can only do food.
But it’s a kind of service too.. coz many of these malls will disappear and be lost forever if it wasn’t captured on film. Many would only be able to see it thru your dedicated work
I bet it's cheaper at the original stall at whampoa.. But fact is.. newer hawkers sometimes pay heftier rents.. so they have to cover their fixed overheads. But I see many forking out $5-8 willingly for hawker fares these days. There was such a line at the nasi lemak.
Wow.. That shouting guy calling for numbers... Got added slavia into his wanton mee??? 😅 😅 😅 Wondering why cant he just buy a digital que system. Maybe he likes to practice his vocal.. 🤣
With due respect, that is not the original nonya laksa. Nonya laksa doesn't come with cockles. The original nonya laksa has strips od cucumber as garnishing too. This nonya laksa is not the authentic one.
Oh wow, what a great place... Love the hawker centres in Singapore! ^^
Thumbs up from Bangkok!
Warm regards,
Thomas
hope you're doing well SUPERGENKI..
Hoping to visit Bangkok soon 🥰
Yes, Piggypuggy is doing very good videos. So I can learn a lot of Singapore and the Hawker centers.
Love watching your video, very interesting, Without CC on commentary is like no kaya and butter on roti toast. Thanks for sharing.
😂🥳🥰
Always waiting for piggy puggy's video. thank you God Bless you
Thank you Marisa 😊
Good job finding this place. Thank you so much for showing us.
Someone recommended me this place too 🙂🙂🙂
I just had Katong Laksa the day before your video. Very fragrant indeed! And those pork lard... omg, I want some too!
The original & the best still JANGGUT LAKSA 👌🏼😊

Yes it's very delicious my friend and I have try before both laksa n wanton Mee is very good worth the money...
I'm glad I got to try them 🥰
They use organic ingredients? They look so good.

Haha I remember Mandy needs evening hawkers 😅
East Coast Lagoon don't have any right? They should!
Wah… U have a good memory 👏 Yah lor, I can’t leave home till after 4 or 5 pm. Thus I travel to places like Old Airport Hawker Centre.
🤤
Love the laksa 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nyonya Laksa, Rojak and Wanton Mee, all my favorite. Sayang not Halal .. lol 😂😂,

my hood… the place has barely changed since my sec school days. coming here for tuition and then katong mall (now I12 of course) for drum class hahaha
Katong girl that drums 😀
Yeah.. I remembered my tuition days at those old dinky malls
Bei Ing server must have been a town crier in another life
How is the Eng wan tan mee?
A lot pp swear by it. Definitely has the old school bicycle wanton Mee texture. But I don’t frequent it
Love the laksa! Wanton noodles are also good 👍🏻
Happy that such places still exist in 2022 😂
My favourite laksa place, not sure the otah goes well with the wanton mee but I always eat the otah with the laksa, match in heaven 😋
Yeah.. Otah always go with Laksa right?? 😂
I don't like yellowish laksa, look so diluted. I prefer 328 laksa opposite. I had tried the two stalls that you ordered. Both are not nice.
And we're back...to Hawker Food 😂
You read my mind...The LAKSA looks sloppy, but it's just the look outside. Would love to try it though
Yea , no more atas food 😂
😂🤣😅 been labelled the hawker food dude already

seriously u got to look at the rental price and the cost of the ingredients. if I were you, I rather spend 4.50 on the nasi lemak.

I could almost hear Sesame Streets Count the Dracula goin Hahahahaha…
aren't other vendor annoyed or disturbed by the uncle🤣
Maybe they depend on him entertaining more folks 😂

This wanton mee uncle is kinda proud of his noise pollution. c",)

This is the original laksa in singapore.
Wow! I didn’t know that.. but if it’s from the 40s.. legit old

I wouldn't eat there if the food was free with that dude screaming out every order. Can't even eat in peace.
honestly both the laksa and wanton mee are nothing to shout about. there are much better ones around.

Alot of dry shrimp taste, 328 laksa taste not as good as roxy laksa
