This set is so absurdly good. I love it so much, the transformation is PERFECT (you can't even imagine how hard is to design a transformable G1 Bumblebee, imagine doing it using just LEGO bricks), and the few changes it has compared to the G1 design make it look even cooler (rear wheels as shoulder pads and the collapsed front hood as the boots). 10/10 sets, no doubt about it. Very clever engineering in how Bee transforms while remaining solid, and somewhat articulated. Inaccuracies really don't bother me as this definitely feels like old school Bee, with about the same updated look/engineering seen across the Legacy toy line. Car mode though not large, is a nice comfortable 8 wide size, and looks to be about the approximation of a chibbified Beetle. While the feet, and legs could be a bit better/articulation considering the smaller scale really like how he turned out over all. Lego created a new joint for Bumblebee to transform. I would probably add knee joints (like I did to Optimus Prime). It looks amazing, can't wait to build and transform it 😀
Given that Optimus could transform without any real partsforming, you'd expect them to be able to do something similar for Bumblebee here. The only reason I can think is that it would be too complex otherwise, but I still wish it didn't have to partsform, even if only for one step
I never understood why people complain about partsforming. It's really not that bad and it's been a thing since G1 and people didn't complain about it in the 80s so why are people complaining about it now?
@@Jason49110 To be clear: Weapons partsforming isn't a big deal to most TF fans. Weapons are just accessories, so if you lose them, you still have the robot to mess with, thus no harm no foul. But say that partsforming is REQUIRED for the transformation? Not only is it seen as lazy engineering, if you lose that part, well the toy isn't going to function as good as it normally would. Earthrise Cliffjumper is an example of that, as his WHOLE rear end of his car mode is detachable and used as a shield. If you lose that, his car mode is ruined. It's a fun set to build but not absurdly good. It's difficult to make a completely rounded car out of square blocks so kudos to them for doing it. Also, tough to make it rounded AND transform. However, the transformation is needlessly complicated, way more than Optimus Prime is. I feel there are ways to change it and make it better. It's a good set tho overall.
What do you do with all the sets after you buy them? Do you part them out, or put them on display? I would also really like to know how you store and organize all your pieces for Mocs.
Do you really have to detach and swap the Autobot symbol from hood to chest?!!! The set is growing on me. It's a partsformer with a lot of engineering.

Wow! first Optimus and now Bumblebee! Who's next? Megatron?
Sadly no
The backpack probably could've been done better, but let's be fair, this is the best possible bumblebee we'll get in lego.
Now all we need is a Megatron
And a lot of luck.
We also need a Soundwave.
And a Starscream

You should make your own Transformer!
do i have news for you
lol he’s made so many
I just looked them up lol! They’re all three years or older, and I’ve only been subscribed for a few months. I’m not surprised tho
I see so much of your Bee in this one, it grew up nicely. This one's going on the shelf in robot form, and yours is going there in car form. 👍
