  • In May 1996, five climbers died high on Mount Everest’s south side. They were from Adventure Consultants and Mountain Madness teams. The climbers were caught in a murderous storm while descending from the summit. Four members of the Adventure Consultants expedition lost their lives, including Rob Hall, Andy Harris, Doug Hansen and Yasuko Namba while Scott Fischer was the sole casualty of the Mountain Madness expedition.
In this video, I have discussed whether or not the bodies of Rob Hall, Scott Fischer, Andy Harris, Doug Hansen and Yasuko Namba are still on Everest. The circumstances in which they died have also been explained in chronological order. Moreover, I have tried to map the exact locations where they succumbed to the harsh elements of the mountain.
Thank you all so much for watching. If you like this video and are new here, please consider subscribing to the channel for more such videos to come in the future.

Yasuko was recovered!! , Rob Hall's body, ( south summit ), moved down, after years, and is not viewable, anymore! Scott Fisher, is still up, by the balcony, actually, below it, and was moved, out of sight!

Thank you for another interesting video! Although you often report on disasters in the mountains, one never gets the feeling that this happens out of sensationalism. Your stories are always reverent and highly interesting. I especially appreciate the always detailed maps of the events, which I can only find in this accuracy here on your channel. Many thanks for your work!

Unfortunately, both Rob Hall and Scott Fisher both had businesses to run. Their respective spouses, and they themselves were aware of the dangers. It was a series of unfortunate events during the 1996 expedition.

It seems oddly appropriate to hear David Breshear mentioned, knowing that he just died recently.

These people are married and have children yet they go on this ridiculous adventure. Totally selfish. Now they leave their spouses behind and their children without a parent. Stupid and selfish.

It is astonishing to me that so many are interested in risking their lives and enduring so much misery just to climb a mountain, not to mention putting other lives in jeopardy as well. And leaving so much trash on and around the mountain is just so unacceptable and demonstrates little to no respect for the mountain.

I hope that the Nepali government finally announce that Mt Everest is banned from all but serious climbers. Clear all the ladders & rubbish left behind by tourists who think it’s a fun experience. I wish that the world would make up the loss of income that the Sherpas lose by banning this awesome Mountain from being used by totally selfish individuals like Sandy Pittman

@richardwait1206 Sandy Pittman did not force anyone to do anything. Guys like you will find a woman to blame whenever things goes wrong. It's never *_your_* fault, after all.

Someday we will have technology to retrieve all of the 200+ bodies that are on that mountain.

Could be put to better use. I mean if they loved it so much they were willing to risk their life, other lives, blow a bunch of money, hurt their families, then they should get to stay there forever. If it meant that much who are you to take their greatest achievement from them? They may have been nobody until they died on a mountain.
Except for the sherpas. If their families want them back they should have that option.

Hansen never fell off the mountain. He was tangled up with Rob and buried under 1m of ice under Rob. They moved Rob I believe, but Doug Hansen is still there on the South Summit.
