Wow I’ve been searching for cheap alternatives to buying a full drum kit and this is probably the best option and this just tells me that you can shred on this thing good job man

Also just wanted to practice drums cuz im not good at it at all except for on my chest with a few beats haha. You make it look so easy. Alesis should be paying you for this! Curious how much control do you get over the sound? Can you change the reverb, wet/dry, etc? Can you use it to control other MIDI gear?
@@pedrohenriqueboscofi That's ok, I have an iConnectivity USB interface that can be a USB host if I want to control 5-PIN midi gear. I ended up buying one for the kids (and me of course); MIDI is the best part, as far as I'm concerned! That way I can use it to trigger sounds from a sampler, where I can really change the sound. Unfortunately with the Alesis onboard sounds, you can't change the playback pitch. I don't understand why they didn't add pitch control; it's not hard or expensive to implement, and it's super fun to downsample a poor resolution sound file into a punchier, grittier, nastier drum sound. Luckily, the midi works fine for my purposes, and I've even made a few on-board kits that aren't bad, although I always just want to turn the pitch down on all the built-in kick drum sounds. The kicks are beyond vanilla... they're more like neopolitan icecream, awkward, pokey, and unsatisfying. That said, it's a toy; I knew that when I bought it. As a toy it's a lot of fun, and worth the deal price.

Hi, ur drum sounds so nice. Did u use an amp for it? If u do, what amp did u use. And how does the drum sounds after few years? And did u do or add anythign else to make ig sound that good?
feels good to play this table top kit. rebound is different from an acoustic kit. the rubber is a bit stiff but still has some good rebound i would say. had to be more accurate with sticking since the pads are small compared to an electronic drumkit.
the drum pad sound preset is that the snare is on the left side. but you can reassign the snare on the right and even all pads if you want to. then save it on a blank tone bank.
great performance man! Can you initiate midi souds with that pad? (Meaning connecting it to a computer or tablet or smarthone and set different tones to each drum?) Thanks, Tom

yes. there are also preset sounds in the kit and you can assign it to whichever panel you like. you just have to choose which is the best sound matches the music.
so i can easily hit the snare on the right while doing the 16 beat on the hi hat which is in the middle of the drum pad. just to avoid cross sticking, that's it.
you may need to bring it to a technician or repair shop to see if the rubber contact or the piezo is still ok. a replacement for that part may be needed.

i'm using an actual kick pedal and an improvised kick pad using a piezo mic.
Nice….
Can you reprogram each drumpad to your preference? E.G. tthe snare in the middle instead of the hi-hats..
You can, but the smaller hihat pad doesn't respond as well to ghost notes/flams etc
I wish the pads were more cushioned. They really are loud and distracting in real time. The clip Excelant drumming. Thanks
