Welcome to our kitchen! Today, we’re making a delicious and protein-rich vegetarian dish - Soy Tikka!
Start by soaking soy chunks in hot water for about 15 minutes. This helps to soften them up perfectly. Once they’re ready, drain and squeeze out the excess water.
Next, in a mixing bowl, add yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade.
Now, add the soaked soy chunks to the marinade. Make sure each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb all those delicious spices.
While the soy is marinating, chop some bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes into bite-sized pieces. These will add color and flavor to our tikka.
Preheat your grill or oven. Once it’s ready, skewer the marinated soy chunks along with the veggies. Grill them for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally until they’re golden and charred.
Serve your protein-packed soy tikka hot with green chutney and onion rings. It’s perfect as an appetizer or a healthy snack!
