    What is the brown paste that is used for the first dish and the egg rice dish please?

      chunjang or korean black bean paste for the first dish. The egg fried rice looks like oyster sauce

      @@tipster-challenge yup. To the first poster corn starch is a staple in Chinese cooking, at least with Cantonese style dishes. A light corn starch slurry is also used to marinate seafoods and meats
