  • Want to develop software for an embedded vision system? It’s quite different from software development for standard PCs. Different? Yes. Difficult? Not necessarily!
That’s what Tom discovers when his boss asks him to develop his first embedded solution - a mobile passenger-counting device. In fact, the Basler pylon programming interface makes software development for this project a lot easier than he’d imagined! His team can develop the software on their standard PCs with USB interface and then port it to an embedded camera setup with Basler BCON for LVDS interface. Tom is relieved and his boss is happy. Thanks to Basler’s pylon Camera Software Suite development costs are under control and their device is very profitable.
