I love the boat, however if I were doing a custom build it would be for making an ocean passage. I would want the hard top to cover at least 50% of he cockpit for protection and solar and an rear arch for radar and other electronics.
Excellent video. Looks like a fantastic boat; large, but not huge. I really appreciate the drone footage of the boat sailing in open water, would have liked to see more of the boat sailing, from all angles, and from closer up. I wonder how the push button sailing will hold up in twenty years.
What a fabulous yacht. I have sailed an ex charter First 501 for a number of years and no the keel has not fallen off. She has proved herself both in the Channel and the Med and on the trans Atlantic from Saint Martin where she peviously earned her living. Around the same size as the Oyster, fin keel, sloop rigged and there the similarity ends. I have seen a couple of long tests of this yacht and she can put in daily runs at least 30% better than our old French lady. If only the Oyster was not around ten times more expensive than our Beneteau, I would have one. I wonder if the nice people at Oyster would do a straight swap?🙃 When I said that the keel had not fallen off!
This is the dream life right here. The only thing I'd ask for on this boat is more cold storage. The only fridges I see are the small one in the galley and the one in the cockpit table. Are there more hidden somewhere?
@@oysteryachts thanks. What’s the turn around time for a build? I’m working on London and wanting to cash it all in this year or next. Hoping for something as independent from land as possible. Email?

Thank you for the great wrap-up of the extensive coverage of this lovely boat from concept to cruise.
Awesome yatch
Lovely boat - in its element! Perfect size for med marina's too! Impressed with Santi's cooking as well :-)! Lucky owners :-)!
Oh my oh my..Have watched this video probably 17 times. Just getting in a good mood, and a little sad that I don't own this beautiful boat.
Would love to have one of those one day
How well 💥⚡️💕💖
For us old sailors this video kills the myth that larger aft cabins compromise the yacht's sailing performance. Very impressive.
Amazing sailor, gorgeous boat, and fantastic video. Shirley is a great advocate for the sailing life this boat can offer. Well done.
Oyster 495 is one of my favorites boat. I am on it. And gonna get this life and experience, it must be with oyster, master work.
I love her. ❤❤❤❤
those sail setting look 99% perfect . R/C 1 M sailing EX SPURT. LOL.
Stunning! The color requires a bit of getting used to, though.

Nice format for presenting the boat! But, have the script say 'press the button' one more time...

very nice video
Merci pour ce beau voyage
wow!
Was there solar on there to charge all the batteries on long journeys?
Hi Simon, additions like solar panels are available to choose during the build process.
