I was at the game. Neto worked very hard defensively but didn’t beat White once, which is why Maresca decided to switch sides. He scored (after Martinelli switched off) so that change worked but it’s a mad stretch to say Neto was the ‘best player on the pitch’. I found most interesting tactically how Chelsea massively stacked the left side of the pitch (I assume because worrying about Saka, Odegaard) and then tried to build up by going direct to Gusto (on the right) who’d moved to No10 position. It didn’t work and Martinelli didn’t capitalise on the space left, as he should have, but was definitely an interesting set up (and a key difference in the usual 4-4-2 block from both sides).
Neto smoked White 😂😂 just because he didn’t “beat him” (whatever pace-merchant brained idea this is) doesn’t mean he didn’t have white doing the hokey pokey
Maresca made Neto switch because Madueke got taken off (was having a stinker) to accommodate Mudryk on the LW. The RW is Netos natural position either way, not because he couldn't beat Ben.
Yeah being on his natural side was def another bonus of the change - I’m just wanting to dispute the lazy assumption that he was the best player on the pitch just because he scored that (very good) goal

Irreplaceable 😊
Great video. Salah kicked the ball away in their weekend match, but lo & behold, inexplicably the referee didn’t have ‘no choice’ but to give him a yellow card. It’s not a conspiracy (unless, of course, the ref thinks Arsenal are s**t). It’s inconsistency btw different refs and btw different matches by the same ref.
Sure just 3 cards straight for Arsenal is ridiculous
You weren’t complaining last season when odegaard got away with a blatant handball at anfield and Gabriel lifted the ball against Bayern and got away with it
@@Mashedpotato334 Two controversies across a whole season where Arsenal likely wouldn't have had a ditterent result anyway pale to such major ones a dozen games in that are pretty much why Arsenal are where they are
@@TheOneandOnlyMe3 wouldn’t have had a different result? The anfield game finished 1-1 if Liverpool get the pen they would have beat you.
And the red cards arsenal have had this season have all been red cards . You should sort out your discipline instead of complaining about referees
@@Mashedpotato334 Right wrong game my bad congrats I'll give you that, either way two controversies all season had as many if not more against them. Many have been cards but not repeated half as much among other teams, by the time Arsenal hit two reds the delay of a restart happened about 30 times with 4 being cards and 3 for Arsenal, two to send someone off even when the ball was still rolling. The Saliba foul happened the same match day with Chelsea and was given as a yellow not straight red but no one cares cause why give Arsenal credit when you can hate on them for being unfairly refereed you know
Fixed them to a 1-1 draw with a poor Chelsea team 😂
He didn't really fix them if they only drew with Chelsea.
Respect to you brother your seeing the way he tries to gaslight people.
didn't actually watch the video did ya ?
@ I don’t need to watch the video because ødegaard hasn’t factually fixed arsenal mate.
@@Mally-TalksAFCArsenal fans are so funny. Arteta out after a few games when you’ve been title contenders for 2 seasons😂 you are the most entitled fan base in the league
@ I’ve been Arteta out for 3 years mate.
the match between chelsea and arsenal showed how limited both really are.
.... ok
interesting way to say that you didn't understand a word of the video but whatevs, you do you bud
@@pieceofgosa My comment had nothing to do with the content of the video. I was just expressing my opinion about both of the teams.
How did you come to that conclusion after watching this video😂😂
@@collapsiblechair9112 so you didn't watch the video & just commented on the title ? Good job, you really added to the discourse.
Arsenal need one more proper CAM(to replace partey) and a martenelli replacement winger with creativity. Because it still doesn't feel like they have their premier league winning team.
So arsenal should sign an attacking midfielder to replace a defensive midfielder? Quit watching football, it's clearly not for you mate
Adam. Adam. Adam.
Confirmation Bias re Odegaard?
Also, I have to disagree about ‘keepers being beaten at their near post. I know where you’re coming from but I’d argue that they still shouldn’t get ever get beaten at their near post.
I thought it was obvious you’re a liverpool fan, no? 🤣
That ending summation was perfect. For a team that's had that rotation of injuries disrupting the tempo, 3 games down to ten players, and the hardest opening fixture list (maybe apart from Wolves), overcoming 9 points in 27 games is far from insurmountable. It's a marathon. Technically, Ipswich could still win the league.
...and one is new to the concept of being good. lmao
Clickbaiting the Arsenal fans😂 "Tell 'em what they want to hear"
Neto best player? At diving and complaining maybe, yes.
Gret goal and very talented player, but he should been sent off for diving (already ahd yellow)
He was completely useless against Chelsea he just statpadded an assist.
Looked much better but Odegard should have come off early! He was gassed before they scored….
Dude... enough about Arsenal. There are 19 other teams in the prem. Mix it up a little.
You're not beating the charges as an Arsenal/Arteta fan boy. You're always eager to make videos about them when there are other videos to be made.
Chelsea ain't gonna win anything with Sanchez in goal he is probably the worst keeper in the league now they is no James Trafford in the league
Spent 1.3billion pls add a goalkeeper to your next 1.3billion xmas shopping list 😆

Gaslighting at its finest.
People saying saka got “pocketed” please watch the game, saka had 3 people on him 90% of the time, while cucurellq was constantly pushing and grabbing his shirt, even with all that happening saka still blitzed cucurella a few times and got in 2 deadly crosses, again, watch the game.
Cucurella literally won all their duels too
@ again, 3 vs 1, saka was squeezed
@@theredstonemechanic6838Easy To do when you have 2 back ups vs 1 player. Wonder why Maresca didn't leave cucurella alone vs Saka?
Wow two “deadly” crosses which amounted to nothing 😂😂 Saka had plenty of 1v1s VS Cucurella and he lost all of them. His two “deadly crosses” weren’t from him “blitzing Cucurella” (I can’t even recall him outpacing Cucurella once the entire game) but from Cucurella leaving off and allowing him to put in an inverted cross. Chelsea were very happy to deal with Arsenals crosses and did it well.
@@alloco_chaud Cucurella was alone VS Saka numerous times and dealt with him fine. This is the premier league not Serie A, you can never completely double mark a player due to the need for other players to press. Saka had the opportunity to run at Cucurella but Cucurella managed him well and forced him inside.
