I liked the countryside better than the city, particularly the gorge. The drone footage at the lake is really professional. Really enjoying the commentary in these videos because it's personal and original, and you have a knack of noticing things that your ordinary tourist might overlook. Got to admire the sense of enterprise too.
Apologising for everything is the English way! That's very kind of you to say though - I really wasn't sure and I never want to offend anyone. Some of the place names, especially now I am here in the Balkans (Bosnia currently), can be really difficult for native English speakers, so I do my best. I hope you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for the comment!
Unfortunately, as you will see in the next video, the drone is no longer! And no longer can I laugh at people who crash drones. Thank you for the kind words though! The gorge was incredible (and wet), but Lake Bled was my favourite part. Just so picturesque!
The no smile isn't mening they are not happy, in slavic countries you don't just smile, something must first had been said verbally to create a smile. Like a joke or funny coment. If not, people are just as they where.
I think you're right. I've now met a lot of Slavic people and they're very friendly. It's just a silly little test in my own mind because we do it a lot in England!
Is it? Thank you for letting me know, I had no idea. I have since left and I am in Bosnia (where I have interacted with the police and they're obviously fine with it). I don't believe I did any harm to anyone there - it's a beautiful, beautiful country and I am glad I got to experience it. I saw many locals who could see I was car camping and they were all fine with it too but perhaps the police may have said something. Did you try it yourself or? How do you know this?
I just looked into it and you are (of course) correct. I wonder why that is? The website says, correctly, that car camping is perfectly acceptable in most European countries except Slovenia. How strange. Well I suppose I got quite lucky. I doubt anybody will chase me for it and as I say I have since left, but I really didn't know!
@@BritishLandeurI'm Slovenian and I slept a lot in my car without any problems, but I know that it is officially illegal. Some campers do get a small fine if they are cought inside of natural parks. Do note, however, there are many camping sites and a lot of them are free. Still there are many people who do this and leave their shit after them (litteral + trash).
I have never left any litter anywhere I go! Part of the reason you will never see the passenger footweld of my car is because it is always filled with with my empty water bottles and cans etc until I can find bins! To leave litter (or anything else you described) would be very disrespectful in my opinion. I hope I haven't annoyed the Slovenian people in some way!
@@BritishLandeur Thank you, last year there were many French car campers in front of a cave next to my village despite there being two free car camping sites nearby. Not all people care about environment and cleanliness, in fact a lot of them don't.
Bravo, soldier.
0:06 - Ljubljana is also one of the safest cities in the World.

Great!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it, Slovenia is so beautiful!
You have people butchering Ljubljana with utmost confidence and this guy pronounces it perfectly and apologizes.

Lovely drone shots. That gorge was really cool. Safe travels. 😀
