My favorite detail of the KFC episode is they go to Corbin, KY to meet the Colonel. They alway do their homework and no exceptions here. Corbin is the birthplace of KFC.
Although I don`t think it has anything to do with culture (which is way over-rated). If anything, many of SP episodes display a sort of sacrilegeous nihilism.

The episodes themselves demonstrate only a sense of mocking incongruity, and the creators have made it very clear that, although they are ready and willing to mock religious ideas, the idea that only the material exists and that "we're just here and for no reason" is the absolute height of idiocy.
The Jackin' It in San Diego is satirizing Jason Russell, a director of a documentary about child soldiers in Africa, who had a breakdown and was found naked and masturbating in the streets of San Diego.
I remember my school's anti-bullying campaigns and zero tolerance policies they'd swap out every year. I remember being threatened with suspension the second time I answered hands with hands. I remember the vice principal preaching at me about how we were both wrong and how I could've hurt the punk who could tuck me under his nose. I also remember the twiggy bastard stammering like an idiot and dropping the suspension threat when my roughneck construction foreman father showed up and bullied him into doing his job!
