Usually read the Bible but thought I’d try an audio version this year. Always read the story of the Christ Child before unwrapping presents. Jesus Christ… the best present ever!!! Thank you and God bless!!
This is nice Chris! I love how you have narrated the story, I like the quality of the voice, the recording and the video I love the presentation, simple but effective 👌
the voice of the narrator suits the reading, but it would of been right, if also the passages of scripture would of been written next to the words, to edify those who do not the scripture.
it saddens me people still follow the christ mass....of the roman popes....know ye not and have ye not read about how it is an abomination to bow down to the stalk and to give and take gifts which pervert the mind....the tree has tree boughs and you bow down to lay a gift or to accept a gift....and the only ones to profit is the big corporations and the rulers whom ye have chosen over your maker....look into these things for yourself and find truth and ye shall be made free....except for the "title" christ mas i love your readings christopher glyn but please consider when you add words to his scriptures
Expanding out of Palestine and into the wider Roman world, Christian missionaries as early as Paul himself encountered a wide array of pagan beliefs and practices. However, as the Church became centered in Rome and strove to establish itself as the official religion of the empire, it had to compete with those forms of paganism that predominated in the very heart of the empire and that enjoyed official support. While several gods and their associated beliefs and rituals enjoyed official recognition, worship of the sun god in the form of Sol Invictus was later superseded during the third century CE by devotion to Mithras. As Christianity spread throughout the empire and became increasingly dominant in Rome itself, Mithraism formed the foundation of Roman paganism. It was, thus, with this religion that the emerging Roman Church had to most directly compete and against which it directed much of its anti-pagan hostility, while at the same time incorporating many of its beliefs and rituals. including placing the celebration of Jesus' virgin birth on December 25th. (This is known to as syncretizing) Jeremiah 10:2 - (2)This is what the LORD says: “DO NOT learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by the signs in the heavens, though the nations themselves are terrified by them. (3) For the customs of the peoples are WORTHLESS; they cut down a tree from the forest; it is shaped with a chisel by the hands of a craftsman. Mark 7:7 through 9 - (7) They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ (8) You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.” (9) He went on to say, “You neatly set aside the command of God to maintain your own tradition.
