    Definitely getting this for my c7. Question, is it possible to simply remove the valves/not buy the plates if you have an AFM car? This would both save some money and also not have the valves zip tied up under the car where they can potentially move around. I have hptuners and can tune out the code that i'm assuming would result from this.

    Question: Do the AFM valve simulators get plugged back in after install? I'm assuming they do , but just want to be sure. Also, any idea on how much ground clearance is needed? , if I were to do this with jack stands/ramps in my garage? Thanks!

      Yes, you will need to leave the actuators plugged in. Not sure how much room you will need on jack stands.

    Mines didn’t come with the exhaust plate to hold the mufflers together. Where can I get one?

    I have the touring exhaust, but after a year of having them on, I'm having issues. AFM valve simulator went bad and triggered a CEL . Other than that great sound

    Does M7 need the AFM simulators?
    And is this similar to the track exhaust?

    • @PhastekPerformance
      @PhastekPerformance  3 года назад

      If you have a 2014-2016 Z51 model the AFM plates would be required. As for the track exhaust, installation wise, YES, it would install the same way but the sound would be different.

      Do you need them for the 2014 a6 stingray (base)

    You did not "disconnect the AFM valves" before removing each muffler... they just magically were disconnected...

    does the npp trigger a cel ?

    • @PhastekPerformance
      @PhastekPerformance  Год назад

      No, the NPP does not trigger the CEL, the AFM does though. If you are eliminating the NPP and you pulled the fuse, We recommend putting the fuse back in though.

    This video is trash. They edit out all the difficult parts. For anyone trying to do this without a lift, don’t even attempt.
    My mechanic said getting the driver’s side pipe over the axle took 2 people at his shop with the car on the lift. I tried it in my garage with the car on jacks for over 3 hours and couldn’t get it.
    Also, this video doesn’t show where to mount the AFM valve simulators. In the video they’re just magically hanging there even though there’s nothing above to mount there.

      We will admit, the installation is a bit difficult at times.
      As far as it taking 2 people to get the pipe over the axle, that we did not need. The installation in our video was all done by Ricardo with out any assistance, if help was needed we would have noted that in the video or shown the other person helping.
      Mounting the simulators can be done anywhere, as long as they are not in the way or come close to making contact with the exhaust. There is no "mount" for the valves, they are held in place using zip ties and keeping them away from making contact with anything. The last think you want is some rattling noise after the installation is done.
