It’s so refreshing to see someone without millions of apple products and designer handbags to show off. I love the more realistic ones 💗 I think my favourite gifts this year were tickets to watch SIX the musical live and a retro 70s inspired floral oil burner. Cheap and cheerful, my favourite 😆

I’m gonna replicate every comment here but it’s so refreshing so see someone get normal presents for Christmas honestly not stuff none of us could ever afford bags worth thousands perfume that’s about £400 trainers that are a months rent honestly you’re so real and relatable :) And the support of the local businesses is lovely :) Xx

@@Jenny-jn1cx I totally agree. I don't have children. My boyfriend and I both work and I definitely couldn't afford to spend £400 on a pair of shoes. We just don't have that sort of money left after rent and bills. Also, younger viewers will be thinking what they see on RUclips is normal and expecting to receive it. I love that Soph has a realistic grasp on what's affordable to the average viewer in their teens/20s. Even with her own makeup range she made sure to keep it affordable.
I love these videos I wish more people did it. It's so relaxing to see how different everyone is. Gifts aren't just gifts. It kinda shows what makes people think of the person they're gifting as well as things different people like. I love it.

That's so refreshing, seeing someone being genuinely excited about slippers, blanket or candles, not showing off designer bags and luxurious perfume or whatever! I used to hate these videos from others, but yours are really nice and somehow more real! ❤️
I bought some DWHome candles for my auntie, the selection and the smells, omg! I personally love the Peppermint Bark one, fresh and minty, but also christmassy, highly recommend!

Honestly, I love these "low" Christmas presents...I'm SOOO OVER getting Mac and designer presents...ofc buy them if you want them but most important if you can afford them...with all the things happenin around us, small gifts carry such a bigger value cause even though times are not good, that person has been thinking of you 🤗 Last Christmas I got soooo many presents but this one I only got one choclate, but I was the most happiest girl ever cause I spent holidays with my family after not seeing them for 2 years.

I always love your "What I got for christmas" videos, because your family always gives you the cutest presents that aren't massively expensive. And I feel like that is what christmas is about, not present that are extremly expensive and luxerious, but are really toughtfull and creative. And just spending it with family, And both your family seem like such sweet people!❤ Happy New Year for all of you!
We had a baby in 2021, so we started a tradition where on Christmas Eve we are all opening one gift each which will be Christmas pajamas and either a book or movie for the kids.

I just like how so many of your relatives have good taste, or at least actually know your taste so they buy something you’d like. There’s so much pressure at Christmas to just tick the box of buying someone something, just for the sake of it and it’s such a shame.
I agree with you Soph, I used to welcome the new year binge-watching 'What I got for Christmas' videos but this year I've only seen a few from my favorite influencers, yours included of course.
Uniqlo was my go-to when i was on my year abroad in Japan for basics! Their pieces are simple but very nice quality. And their thermal shirts... Life changing!!
Some people consider it fast fashion but... I have a ton of stuff a bought a few years ago and still wear today! Great stuff.
Watching this in bed with Covid and it is so nice to see someone who truly appreciates the meaning of Christmas but who didn't get £200 trainers and a £400 bag from their partner and everything the White Company had in hampers! Which lets face is it is no different to Next or Boots. I love how you get excited about Jack Skeleton gifts and fluffy socks like I do. My partner could have bought me every designer bag in London and none of them would compare to the hand drawn picture he had commissioned for me of our son as my Christmas present this year.xx

Honestly I think people are never too old for plushies. Whether you're 4, 40, or 94, if you want a plushie, get one! It's so stupid that we're supposed to "grow out" of something that gives many of us comfort.

Calathea’s are fairly easy to look after but one thing I would suggest is watering it with filtered water, as if you use normal tap water their leaves tend to go brown because they’re a bit dramatic like that! Loved this video, I found it very relaxing and you got lots of lovely things!❤️
Totally agree Calathea’s can be diva’s 😂 I moved it once and it started to droop! Moved it back perked right back up 🙈❤️
I dont celebrate Christmas but its oh so lovely seeing what people get! Definitely gives me ideas for what to get people for their birthdays or random gifts!!

In Bulgaria we mainly celebrate Christmas Eve, the 24th. So we exchange presents then. We cook all day and get together to have the traditional meal. On Christmas Day you can really do whatever you want. I also got so spoiled this year. I am even still waiting for some presents to be delivered and it's already a few days into the New Year. I feel like a Princess 😊 I was also so excited to give presents - it was just a lovely holiday season this year!
hi everybody, love what she said about clothes basically it's what you do, you wear them. I do not have the money to be able to wear something new everyday and I dont think I know anybody that can.. VIDEO IDEA! These are always such fun videos! I was having a look back through all your old vids and trying to find all your Bare Minerals products you like, and I was thinking maybe you could do a full face of bare minerals? I got one of their eye palettes for Christmas and am in love with it so I'd love a reference video for all their other products. They have nice liquid foundations now that I'm interested in and such but you're one of my go to people for foundation since you have a similar skin type.
Videos like these are why you will forever be my favourite RUclipsr, the most down to earth genuine person on the internet. I love that you are genuinely so excited and appreciative about the most simple and meaningful things and Christmas isn’t all about chowing off the latest high end designer bags, shoes etc 💗💗💗

Becareful with the calathea they're very picky but so so beautiful. They like the be humid and hate having they're roots moved around(although unfortunately you may have to disrupt the roots as that pot looks tiny!) They're my favourite plants 🪴
All my basics are from Uniqlo now. When you start, you can never stop. I love their stuff so much ❤️

I love pizza stones so what you do is as you pre heat the oven you put the stone in there then put the pizza on top to make it like extra crispy, it works best I think with like cauliflower crust frozen pizzas and then it’s like a flat bread sorta thing

I love these videos every year! My favorite Christmas gift I received was a Gudetama cookbook. If you don't know who Gudetama is, he's a Japanese character, similar to Hello Kitty, who is a lazy egg. It's a perfect cookbook for me because it's so cute and it's for lazy people who don't enjoy cooking! It was such a thoughtful gift from my sister.🍳

my Christmas was a bit hit or miss, I loved spending time with my family but we did struggle having lost someone in the summer and they always spent Christmas with us. but we got through it ❤️

Love all your videos, even though I’m at a completely different stage of life to you ( married with two children in school and I’m 14 years older than you) I can still relate to a lot of what you talk about 😍 I also got hit with covid two days before Christmas, I packed the husband and children off to my moms on Christmas Day and my sisters on Boxing Day as planned so that they could still enjoy the festivities (and bring me a dinner home) I still had a good Christmas but not what I hoped for. Looking forward to seeing what this year brings for you xx

Loved the video, the fact that you got presents that really fit you, the themes you like, the things you want too wear... so nice to see that kind of gifts and not just a video full off expensive things too show off.
