I was wondering why you hearted my comment so many years later. Kam took me under his wing for 11 years after a spine injury. Thank you for posting this video of a gracious and generous man. It's a shame what he went through re: the rights to his Chinese Energetics and then Yuen Method. May He Rest in Absolute Peace, and so it is. Bhakti PS I sent this to Kam after I discovered it: he was delighted that this was on RUclips. (There was also a glorious video of him doing a weapons form when he was really young--before Kung Fu, so possibly in his late teens.)
My Big brother was my instructor in Tai Mantis . I grew up in in East LA. Was much in need of martial arts. Let's talk? My brother got beat up/ jumped by 4 cholos in early 70s...Basset.
I was lucky enough to be a student of his for a year. I only wish I could study today, but nothing in the area where I live. He was a very interesting man.
Fun Fact that has nothing to do with the OP: Japanese traditional music and instrumentals are a 7th century direct import from the Chinese Tang Dynasty adopted by Japan during their Taika Reforms(Japanese government sanctioned adaptation of Chinese culture,Writing and centralized government). Japan has preserved more traditional Chinese custom's then modern China who has lost a shit load due to Mao Zedong's failed great leap forward. www.npr.org/2009/03/10/101626136/keeping-chinas-ancient-music-alive www.musis.ca/matsu_take_eng/7_AMG_Japan.html www.britannica.com/event/Taika-era-reforms www.britannica.com/art/Japanese-music/Influence-of-Tang-dynasty-China
