The fastest woman to ski Mont Blanc | Anna DeMonte

On 5th June 2024, Rab athlete Anna DeMonte set the women’s ski FKT on Mont Blanc with a time of 7 hours 29 minutes.
Commanding a comprehensive, technical alpine skillset to navigate unfavourable conditions, Anna completed this challenge solo, carrying all her own gear from start to finish.
Anna’s time came within four minutes of the overall women’s FKT set by Hillary Gerardi, despite a costly 100-foot fall on the icy skin up.

I don't get it, how can she be the fastest when it also said she was 4 minutes behind the other women. This edit and discription did a terrible job explaining what she's trying to do. Also huge chunks of the route are missing where's the summit or the run or transitions WTF, opportunity wasted.

Anna was the fastest woman to do this route using skis, whereas others have narrowly beaten this time by running the full course. It's pretty tricky to get full coverage out on the hill but noted
