Great game! It's really cool to see the patch panning out like intended by the devs in a real match. A ton of Tier 1 activity around the creep camps, a smoother tansition up the tech tree into spellcasters and then a proper Tier 2 army with a sprinkle of Tier 3.
I can't be the only one who fell in love with Gates of Pyre, yeah? I played it after I played Stormgate. I guess now I might try out Stormgate again with its new upgrade.
I've tried gates of pyre briefly and I'm afraid its just not going to do well in my opinion. A HUGE problem is for players being able to relate to the game in any way shape or form. All the factions are alien / fantasy based which essentially means you NEED to know their lore and characters to have any semblance of attachment to the game, its a HUGE barrier to entry in an already massively unpopular genre of games. There's no human faction to play..... its pretty well known that new players opt for the human factions first for familiarity. You see a guy with a gun, you know what he does, you see a guy with a sword, you know what he does. If gates of pyre actually makes any ripples whatsoever in gaming, I'd be very surprised. I hate to be so negative about it, I want a hugely successful RTS as much as the next guy but unless you know the gates of pyre lore (of which there is no massive incentive to know - and are exclusively interested in fantasy) it takes a long time to figure out for most new players. I guess overall it might just depend on definitions of a successful game - but I suspect the game will only appeal to a very small niche of RTS gamers which is already a small niche in gaming overall, I don't expect it to have a thriving player base ☹. I hope I am wrong!
@@FarmyCasts Well, IMO, Gates of Pyre actually got more positive attention than Stormgate, though. For me, the game is relatable after the first play; it brings out a new concept that is also similar to SC. It wasn't boring all through the play, and the graphics were on point.
@@GEE_BLACCK Ahh that's good to hear, I'm looking forward to keeping up with the news on it, i'm pretty skeptical about immortal gates of pyre, but I would be kinda happy to be proven wrong xD. Wish we could have the next big RTS, its been soooo long!
@@FarmyCasts Well, the sentiment around it is positive though; many love it, and I loved it too. For a game with a low budget, they did a smart job; I added it to my wishlist.
Great game! The match quality keeps improving as the game matures.
Yeaaa! We're definitely getting some good games. I have been very selective though. Only going to upload the entertaining games 😀

🤘
This already looks waaaaay better than SC2 WoL. Remember WoL? It was one base all in all day every day for like a year after release.
Nice
🙌
I gotta admit I’m enjoying this over SC2, it’s easier to play tbh.
