First, great job explaining the process. I know it took a few extra minutes to provide that information as I was the one requesting the video. I have never pulled one but interested it. Huge fan. Keep trucking and stay safe. Thanks again.
Thanks for the demo!!! I pull a 60 ton rgn. Mine is hydraulic that drops everything with a goose neck support when I disconnect. I also move about 7 or more loads a day for a local construction company.
Yeah buddy, you definatly need the hydro!! I'm sniffing around a couple different trailers we will see. There are some changes coming in the near future that might make it better for me to have a little bigger trailer.
@PatriotSpecialized you have some great content sir. Very educational and entertaining. I have learned some things about load securement from you. Always learning. Thank you!!!!
Ya I'll stick to the trail king low boy that's behind me . Turn PTO on get out raise trailer neck up , push handle back . Drop trailer to the ground . Hit locking pin release. Drop support arm down and your unhooked . Pull off and get to loading equipment.
They offer a hydrolic which is the best way to go for really heavy stuff. These manuals are super light weight so they are tempting for that reason alone.
When you buy the trailer do they explicitly tell you to use a 6x6 piece of wood or is that in the trailer manual? I know that is how it done but was curious whether that is a "before you leave the lot" kinda thing they tell you when you purchase the trailer. Thanks!
They didn't give me any instruction at all but I think when my boss bought the trailer he led on that we knew what we were doing which was correct but every trailer has little "quirks" a 6x6 is pretty standard operation for just about any manual RGN.
Excellent, informative video. Thanks.

My pleasure. I actually meant to do that a long time ago and totally forgot until you brought it up.

Great video, hauled a lot of trucks out of Ft Wayne GM Plant

Awesome Demonstration!! I'm actually a little worn out from watching it lol. Thanks for taking the time!!
Lol im used to it so it's no big deal to me but I'm ready for a hydro that's for sure!!
👍
You might want to clear those bolts 15:43 off the counterweight before hitting the highway.
Lol I actually forgot about them until I got fuel 75 miles away and they were still there... whew! Thats the bad part about hauling used stuff. Lol

So jealous!!!
Are newer trailers automated? This seems like an awful lot of work to disconnect the trailer!

Less expensive as well. But man....they can wear you out. Lol
An engineer first designed that type of trailer, and a truck driver had to figure out how to use it because the engineer had no clue.
I believe that. It's kinda crazy how it stays together. Very little connects the 2.

I just wanted to say never put your fingers anywhere you wouldn't put your roster.
Hahaha good point!!!
