The best collection of good survival and camping tips I have seen. Clear, quick, and easily understood. I had seen several of these techniques explained in videos that took 10 times longer to explain each one, and because of that they were harder to remember. This is a Master class.
Already watched all of these individually, but what a nice way to re-view them. All bundled together in nice package. Thank you for all these amazing tips man ❤️
New Subscriber because the videos are straight to the point , relatively easy to follow , and not long. You’re doing an amazing job with this content!!
The Community tab is so underrated. Would love to see a list of your gear or favourite gear(along with any discount codes). We've always been outdoors enthusiasts but recently have been gathering supplies. Knife here, machete there, etc... Our daughter took the axe and machete to work yesterday to have sharpened. We dont have a tent though. Nor do we have sleeping bags or foam pads, cooking pots, etc... Would rather not buy new so its taking time to get everything together. Once again...great channel!
Everyone has to do everything for you huh ? How to know ? TRY! When I was a kid we literally tried setting everything on fire. Every single household chemical was experimented with.
When the apocalypse starts, we all gotta download these videos and get a solar powered charger. Then maybe we'll survive meanwhile this guy will throve
Interesting, but..... you forgot THE most important tip of all. One that could change your life. I'll fix it for you by sharing with everyone: When going in bear country, always make sure to bring along that friend who has all of the best and most amazing gear you can't afford. And: a) make sure he runs slower than you b) bring, and attach on his back, a sign saying "I taste honey".
@@ChristIsKing12 Good :) Good :) Be careful about one thing tho. All three (Husqvarna, Hulatfors and Gransfors Bruk are very good axes. And I've seen the Husqvarna at a lower price many times. But I've also see them pricier. Watch out where you buy. Also, there are many other good brands on the market and I have one that belonged to the grand father of a friend and it's still good and with the original handle. I have another one, a no name, with an hickory handle and paid about $15 for and it never failed me. So you don't always have to pay a fortune. The most important is to always keep it sharp. For this you need a file and a "puck". The puck is a round sharpening stone that looks like a ....puck. Good brands: Husqvarna, Hulatfors, Gransfors Bruk, Council Tools, grant, STHIL, etc.. You can also buy from a store selling to arborists, they usualy carry good stuff.
The small one I use is actually just an old Ozark Trail hatchet I've had for several years similar to a Fiskars hatchet. Great little hatchet but they don't it make anymore, the Fiskars version is better quality anyways. But as Diablo mentioned, Gransfors Bruk makes one of the best hatchet/axe you can get if you want to spend the money
@@DiabloOutdoors Thanks for the tips, I already have a good puck and I have bought a previous Axe that lasted a good while until the handle broke, so I had to switch back to my old one. I will keep researching for good quality but not as expensive axes to buy, but thanks for the suggestions.
There has been a recent trend of folks posting nonsense, elongated videos that are incredibly unhelpful, this is a perfect example. The equivalent of those that post “wait until the end” on a reel. Or when you posted “Here’s why you should carry a magnesium pencil sharpener”. 😂😂 way more common than a lighter right?
I took a vote. We all decided your channel is our favorite bush craft channel in the community.
No fluff. No bs. Just straight up knowledge. Your short tips are excellent.
Wealth of knowledge…..great stuff!
Thank you

Part of camping is smelling a lil smokey in the morning 😅👍🏻💯

Amazing video!!! I really would love to see some cooking videos of your survival recipe!!! Huge fan, keep up the great work!!!!
simply go by the mother of all rules when it comes to UL and cooking: "Don't bring food, eat another hiker"

I'm a Nigerian, I don't know why I'm watching this but i can't stop!
Excellent video! I learned more watching your 10-minute video than I have over the last month of other bushcraft videos. You've got a new subscriber!
If it was a frog or a squirrel, I would be very upset.
Good thing you’re not!
If you was hungry ..blessings..
Frog legs yummm
It's survival
Cats are also good
pencil sharpener trick is nifty! Tried to get one, turns out they make em out of graphite now
Awesome video!
I'm 76. Did all that and more as I was taught by my Grandpa who was born in 1885.

How to know if this sharpener made of magnesium or not
Try to scrape it with a knife, magnesium is a soft metal. If it's aluminum it won't scrape off so easily I think
@@TranscendentII thanks ☺️
It probably will say on the side if the sharpener, like he showed us.
It usually says Magnesium on the sharpener or the packaging. If it doesn't, it's probably aluminum

Eat the little grub in the acorn…a bit like Witchitti grubs
Wondered about that, surprised he didn't mention if you actually could or not
What boots do you use/recommend
Made in Germany 😅
Es freut mich das wir in Deutschland noch etwas gutes produzieren... auch wenn es nur ein Bleistiftanspitzer ist 😅

👍👍👍👍👍😎
Those larvae, inside the acorns is protein😂
Certain bugs here seem to be attracted to smoke.🔥👀🔥
0:38 If it were an orange-colored frog, I would think the environment is contaminated. But an ORANGE frog?
Ok... so I need to go find a magnesium pencil sharpener. Check. 🤪

Remember pencil sharpener made in Germany and not China
What hatchet do you use? I only have an old one so I was thinking about getting a better one
hultafor and Grnasfurbrucks are well known and very good. But very expensive. The ones made by husqvarna are awesome too and half price.
@@DiabloOutdoors Thanks, I’m definitely gonna look into purchasing one of em

But my brother spoke slowly ❤
I'm a block of cheese and I think you're just grate
Mine keep getting rusty 😢 i guess they are not real Magnesium?
Can you eat the acorn weevil larva?
Yes you can, extra protein. I usually use them for trout bait

So just keep boiling
