This is actually a good demonstration of how powerful the set of tools in PD really is. Just imagine what you want, and with some ingenuity, you can make it happen!
Must have been from a recent update (PD 365). I just dropped a color board and a jpeg and in both cases hovering over the end of the clip the mouse changed from a pointer to the backward E.
