- A James Scott Skinner air played here on octave mandolin, mandolin and guitar. Skinner dedicated it to his cousin Jessie Macdonald, wife of James Macdonald who was the gardener at Allenvale Cemetery, Aberdeen, where Skinner himself is now interred.
The pictures were taken a few nights ago on the Holy Loch on the Firth of Clyde.

beautiful evening mood... sounds like a lullaby from an old music box... and those mountains in the evening colors and shades are really beautiful... very nice
Very generous response, Toomas. Thanks as always.
first thing for Regina this morning: your playing and a cup of tea - kind regards!😊
Thanks Bertram. Glad Regina had a good start o the day.
Sounds like a good plan! I'll listen to this again with a cuppa.
Beautiful photography, so fitting with the melody. 1:10 would make a lovely painting. 😊
Thanks, Morag. I was thinking that some of the pictures would indeed make fine paintings. 😍
Nice one John. One for me to learn.
Thanks, Adrian. It reminds me in some phrases of "The Road and the Miles to Dundee".
Beautiful tune, john with photographs to complement it.
Many thanks, Pris. It is a bonny tune.
Beautifully played John, sweet and clear with your signature breaths throughout. Well, some will know what that means.
Signature breaths - what a lovely way to describe rubato playing, Ginny. 💥
@@JohnsMandolinUk Yes, but you know the exact spot to put them - that makes all the difference..Chaos here but three weeks to the big move. I'm exhausted. People my age should not have so much 'stuff'.
