It's worth noting that not all autobots and decepticons strictly have blue and red eyes respectively. For example, in Armada, Optimus Prime has yellow eyes and in most iterations, the combaticon Swindle has purple eyes.
I think of it this way, Bee is a robot at the end of the day, there is a chance that he has limiters that help him minimise collateral damage at the cost of being less combat effective than a Decepticon of similar prowess so he has to make up the difference with pure skill and strategy. However if he turns these limiters off he can use that full power unrestrained without emotions or morals guiding his actions. But that's just a game theory

It was Bee's "Iron Giant" moment

Well, technically, the Bumblebee movie isn't connected to the Bayverse as it's the start of a reboot.
This honestly doesn't need a complex answer, when it is simple: He was just angry/enraged.
Bee couldn't resist the power of the dark side
cause bumblebee was at first a decepticone
Bee: “hey can I copy your homework?”
Iron Giant: “sure do whatever”
“transformers robots jn disguise”
“transformers more than meets the eye”
18:11 - 18:4 Bro sounding like Michael Shannon in Bad Boys 2 “I got my rights!”

He fell to the dark side

Well my idea was that bee was a decepticon once but switched sides... hence why the decepticons call him a traitor

The exception is "Give me your face"
Gotta remember, bee went decepticon at some point. Don’t worry, he went back to autobot
No its because in that film bumbleber was originally a decepticon so he could become angry and have ref eyes at certain times
It's a lot like lightsaber color in Star Wars. Force users who use the dark side have red lightsabers, whereas light side users have other colors.
Bee got that Trevor range form GTA5
Blitzwing called Bee a traitor, so it could that Bee WAS a deception, but ended up turning into an autobot. And when he got angry, his rage filled him to the point of turning on his deception mode.
Meanwhile Palpatine is somewhere like "Let the hate flow through you" 😂

Passive robots? I guess you’ve somehow missed the genocidal Optimus of the bayverse 😃

It’s like with Sam if someone hurt Sam bumblebee gets mad his eyes turn red for a second
