    You will find "Tricks by trabadia" with all the maps shown here.

    They seriously need to expand on the casual multiplayer for this game. The new 3v3 is a good start, but additional gametypes and team sizes would be massive for attracting players who don't want to sink hours trying to get a perfect run

    I started playing this game a couple of weeks ago and I can’t get enough of it, it’s so different to any other racing game. I came in to it playing how I would play any other racing game, getting decent times, but quickly got a feel for the game and was able to go back and improve all the times I had set, I love how challenging the game is and there’s so much room to improve and keep learning new techniques, more videos like this one, maybe going in to more detail, and with speech would be fantastic.

      I am no expert, however steering left to right means the car is going trough a (slightly) longer distance thus more distance to accelerate, so as long as the speed loss from steering is less than the gain of the added distance, the car goes faster.

    • @SomethingGreenx
      @SomethingGreenx 4 года назад +17

      @@iyad8644 dosen't work in rl tho u have more friction and worse aerodynamics if so f1 drivers would use the wiggle as well xD only works in game since it's coded easily.

    • @Gihntemos
      @Gihntemos 4 года назад +10

      @@SomethingGreenx Well, your friction would be the same since you're working over the same ground, the aerodynamics against forwards wind could be negligible depending on the exact situation.
      In reality though, doing a wiggle would be INCREADIBLY dangerous. You'd effectively be creating an aeroelastic flutter.
      Your best case scenario is that you'd spin out of control because of the amount of g-force on each wiggle. The body of your car is going to want to keep wigling, even if your tires are pointed a different dirrection. This isn't a problem in the game because the car is expected to be a rigid solid, so when exposed to this force it can stay stable.
      Your worst case is that you're successful and you don't notice the insane amount of damage you've done to the driver, and they die sometime later from an internal injury in their brain.
      The Tacoma Narrows Bridge incident shows why things that depend on a constant like that can go wrong.
      It's not really that the physics engine is terrible, it's that at a certain point metal can quickly act like a liquid, bending and morphing, but that's not really something we can calculate that quickly, so we just kinda skip over it because we have to.
      Granted, I'm not an expert either. I've passed college physics but I don't have a degree in it. Though I do have a degree in a math-based field, so I wouldn't say I have no understanding of it.

    • @SomethingGreenx
      @SomethingGreenx 4 года назад +7

      @@Gihntemos actually no the friction is higher since the force is greater on the edges of the wheels for each wiggle since the weight of the car is being redistributed and they have to cover more space. That is the biggest factor in why you would loose speed F1 driver kinda wiggle to get them to the best temperature before the actual race.
      And your body wouldn't get insanely damaged from that, The Tacoma Narrows Bridge incident happened because the bridge was vibration in the perfect rhythm for it to break down. Which u can do to a lot of stuff but there is mostly a specific rhythm needed just like for glass to break from vibration only, Pilots can handle g forces to up to 8 or 9. I mean there are roller coaster with more side to side movement than that wiggle like the break dance.
      You would probably loose control if you would try that but even if you could wiggle like that you wouldn't gain speed.
      don't have a physics degree either tho, but understanding of work loads for gears and motors, mechanic and stuff^^

    the one I can't consistently figure out is reactor boost. Sometimes you need to brake and release (that would be reactor boost down ?), sometimes you just wiggle so your car gets a boost while it's just hovering the ground (reactor boost up ?), but the mechanics are still alien to me I randomly do things and sometimes they work sometimes they do not but there is no real consistency

      A neo is what will permit you to drift with low speed in trackmania. You can't drift normally under a certain speed ; unless if you master the neo technique. For "bugslide" and "grass slide" are two different name for the same technique.

    • @Zedem0n
      @Zedem0n 4 года назад

      That's just how the game physics work. And that's not a bad thing. It's like strafe-jumping/circle jumping in Quake or bunny hopping in CS. In real life, that wouldn't make you gain speed to awkwardly jump from side to side but it does add some flavour to the game and allows for more creative plays. I'm all for this.

    • @j-swag7438
      @j-swag7438 4 года назад +1

      nobody really knows for sure but some likely theories i've heard are that shifting the weight to one side gives you a more grip on one side and therefore more acceleration which over-compensates for the speed loss from the drift. So yeah no one knows XD

Your control scheme is mostly personal preference but for keyboard it is important to be able to brake using your other hand that you aren't accelerating and steering with. e.g: accelerate and steer with up-arrow, left and right-arrow, and brake with left shift
