Hi Cameron! Great tutorial, thank you a lot! I'm curious of your opinion of how bot-activity email clickthroughs can dilute the responses in a real-life example of this campaign. Have you experienced any instances of this perhaps? Is there an option in SFMC to filter out bot activity system-wide by certain patterns just like what Marketo offers for example? Wouldn't it be safer per say to have a form on a cloudpage and capture interest through that channel? A couple steps more, but likely the "Yes" responses would be closer to the actual attendee numbers later - that's my hypothesis at least. Thanks again!
Hi Cameron thank you so much for this great tutorial. A question popped in my mind, what would happen if they changed their mind (initially answered yes) and went back to the email and click not attending ? Would this still be captured in the DE but not receive a ‘sorry to miss you’ email ? Thanks!
Hi @Cameron, Great video! I've implemented the steps in my practice org and everything seems to be functioning smoothly when I test directly from Content Builder. However, when I activate the Journey with my test contact and respond to the email with any option, the cloud page responds with an Internal Server Error 500. Do you have any insights on what might be causing this issue?
A 500 error could be a few things unfortunately. If you step through the code, using the Preview & Publish step to verify that it’s working every step along the way, then you should be able to isolate the problem quickly.
Great video as always, Cameron! Quick question… I see that there’s a possibility to upsert data from the cloudpage to a DE instead of coding the SSJ. Are there any potential downsides if I do that?
You can do AMPscript and SSJS functions to upsets to a DE; however in this example you need to use the API to trigger the “event” for the journey to proceed.
Hi @Cameron, I am new to SFMC, may I know how to get practice org todo end to end email campaign creation from scratch? and how to get the sample data from git? Thanks in advance !!
Thank you, this was very informative. I'm looking forward to seeing similar end to end content like this
great tutorial thanks man !
