Brisebois continues to be pretty fantastic at recognizing precisely what the team needs at the deadline and then delivering that. Not just splurging and going crazy like other teams. He's just the best GM for this team, honestly.

@@manicmike333 I still think Jeannot has something in store. People thought we overpaid for Hagel too because he wasn't scoring right off the bat that year. Jeannot gets injured a little too often, which you kinda can't predict as a GM anyway, but when he's out there his physicality makes a difference and he's one of the toughest guys in the league. If we could get him back in a series against a guy like, say, Rempe, he's going to be big for the playoffs. It's kind of a missing piece right now where if you were to put him in the lineup, they could really get to the next level.

I didn't really want to see the team go out and spend a lot of assets to improve this year. Just with the way the team had been playing before the deadline, with how up and down they were, I didn't see this as a team built to go deep and felt like it'd be a waste of assets especially since it'd be hard to find someone that would actually impact the team. But the one name that kept coming up that I was actually interested in is Duclair. He's a guy I've liked for a long time. Florida sent him to San Jose for cap reasons and because he missed 3/4 of last season with injury. He did as best he could on a very short staffed Sharks team, but he's shown in the past with Ottawa and Florida that he has the talent to hang and play with good players. So I'm not surprised he's fit in so well and found some chemistry and success with Kucherov and Point here early. Actually feels like the kind of boost that can let this team go a little further in the playoffs than I thought they could.

I'm so with you there...I'm really happy with how their offense is playing, and we have the #1 PP in the league right now, but if we can't defend, we can't win. They are playing good enough for now, but the playoffs as we know are a different beast. They need to step it up defensively if they wanna make it past the 1st round in the playoffs imo

March 12th, I asked when Kuch was going to have a multi-point game again, because he was stringing along just one-point outings.
He's had multi-point games every game since that tweet. Unbelievable. He had fallen behind MacK in the points race by 8, and now Kuch leads by 1. Idk how people aren't putting Kuch in Top 3 MVP talks, they really need to see what he's been doing for this team this year, and get out of their "Lightning are stacked" bubble.
Maybe.... No one's ROOTIN Kuch for MVP because Rootin sounds like Putin?
