*I saw this in the theater, and there was a sweet old lady who cried to this scene, made the whole experience so memorable for me*
I've watched this film 10 times; it's so perfect. What an amazing director. Miles Teller was originally cast and while I'm sure he would have been great, Ryan is just so charming and irresistible in this role.
for some reason i read "sweaty old lady" instead of "sweet old lady"
Maybe in her youth she had fall in love with someone in a similar way, as she was a girl once too.
I think I was that “sweet old lady”
I was a 24 year old when I saw this and I cried my eyes out at how powerful this moment was. Just hit home with how my future fiancee and I were back in the day, and how electric being with one another was! Kind of brings bittersweet nostalgia about a new love in your life
Movies like LA LA Land is why I love the cinema
Angel- Movie and Marvel Maniac. Same bro✌
Same ...... 💜💛
there bringing back that old way of making musicals
What movies I consider as cinema
The Godfather
The Godfather part 2
The dark knight
La la land
Goodfellas
Taxi driver
The wolf on Wall Street
Scarface
@@Karlebow571you forget Shrek
This movie proves how vital the sound is to a movie's success. Imagine how different Jaws, Halloween, Star Wars, etc. would have been without those iconic soundtracks.
or any movie scored by hans zimmer
Lord of the rings 😱😱😱
@@thadude765 like boss baby?
@@sadham2668 exactly like boss baby
John Williams 😩😩
There’s really something magical about old cinema, especially the musicals.
Films back then really cater to people of romantic fantasy.
I couldn't agree more
This film and Ryan Gosling were both ripped off at the Oscars.
I regret never seeing this in the theaters so much how I want a re-release sooooo badddddddd
Omg me too
I saw it when I went out on a date... I regret it so so much hahaha it didn't turn out to be a good one 💔 I wish I could have seen it later with my mom in theaters
Saw it for the first time in the cinema this month. Absolutely worth it for this scene, the epilogue and the opening 20mins
Me toooo
Me toooo :"((
I won't forget seeing the part at 2:02 in the theater. My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe the beauty of what I was seeing.
Indeed that moment at 2:02 is jaw-dropping and just so beautiful and passionate.
It looks like a screen saver.

@@MrDuboce just go to the planetarium bro
Same haha
This was so magical, a lot grandma and grandpas cried at this one.
me, a 15 year old, crying
For those who haven't watched La La Land, this is definitely not the end !!!
Sometimes I wish it was :(
@@isaacerrypagogo98 me too :((
It says scene 6/11 in the title of this video so I think people so I don’t think anyone thought it was.
I wish it it was ughhhh
Absolutely wish it was also. Let’s imagine it is.
At the end in the theatre, we applauded. It was incredible. An ode to the beautiful movies before.
2:00 is when I started crying out of awe!
@@MrDuboce that means he has feelings
One of the most magical and memorable scenes in cinematic history.
From 1:42 mins,
Music and visuals are just out of the world.
In my opinion, "La La Land" is the greatest musical romantic film of 21st century.
No dialogue, the music is talking, pure magic
"Cinema is all about illusion." Chazelle prove that
Mia and Sebastian's dance in the sky reminds me a lot of Princess Aurora and Prince Phlilip's dance in the sky at the end of Sleeping Beauty. Something Walt Disney himself wanted to be originally for Cinderella which has a deleted scene and beautiful unused song for it.
I cannot stop loving this movie. Everything about it is fine.
Someone in the crowd could be the one you need to know
"The one to finally lift you off the ground"
and Seb's lifts Mia off the ground in this scene 😊
Literally haha
Oooooooh you're right!!!!! Ty for pointing it out
Now I'm wailing😭
La La Land is probably one of my favorite films due to it's dedication to old cinema from the 50s which are my favorite
I'm glad I could watch it in a cinema! Massive magic for my eyes.
Sadly, my friends didn't like this movie, so I cannot share my emotions with them..
I’ve had this same problem with my friends all my life
I see this and I'm like "dude that's not possible" but I keep watching and suddenly I want cry, it's so beautiful and magical
ok this entire scene is exactly what twelve dancing princesses is. they even do the same dance steps in the sky
I love the moment when they first start dancing. Great camera work capturing the romance of it all.
This is why I love cinema
Just one reason why Chazelle is a master.
I love this scene. The blue and purple sky make this scene. Makes me want to dance with someone I love forever.
I cried too. Planetariums are so underated. To see them used like this with this story and music... magical. Ryan... such a great Mickey Mouse Club kid!
This was soooo ethereal, marvelous and fulfilling to watch, a slice of Hollywood when it made truly GOOD films.
The images create such a magical feeling.
Even when they are dancing on the ground their steps are so light it’s like they are already floating. Many dancers are so firmly on the ground. These two are so delicate about it.
This scene just makes my heart warm
Love amidst the stars. Literally!
Why this clip has only 30 000 views? :( The most beautiful scene in La La Land
The epilogue is pretty good as well haha :)
one of the best things about this film is watching Emma and Ryan dance .. in outer space no less!
At 2:00 is the moment where I was in absolute shock. I realized this might just be my favourite film I’ve ever seen. Before starting this movie, I would have never guessed it would end up as my favourite, but as I saw beautiful scenes like this throughout the film, I made up my mind, this truly is not only my favourite movie, but one of my favourite pieces of cinema in general. I love La La Land so unbelievably much💛🥹
everytime I come across any video clips of this movie, I need to see them all over again 😂
I was so lucky for having watched this wonderful movie in the theater, I watched twice
One of the iconic soundttracks of all time
I love this movie. Everything in it is beautiful.
The dance at the beginning is a quotation of the one in the sound of music (sixteen going to seventeen)...both beautiful movies! ❤
This is what HollywoodLand was all about back in the 1930-50’s
such beautiful music and soundtrack
The most fascinating romance scene I have ever seen in my life
No words 😮,no words ,beautiful beautiful
when they started flying i thought i was high
this movie defines a magical view
Was one of the best scenes in the movie
This. This is why I love film
This shi got me feelin a certain type of way man
The beauty in this along with the music is just unmatched
Every time i watch this movie really make me cry is so beautiful and magical love it😢😍
My favourite scene😍
Now i Know Jeff Goldblum's wife Emilie was the body double for the dancing in the air part of Emma Stone, interesing fact haha
I wondered if they both had doubles for this scene. I know that they are very talented, but this dance was like from another planet...
@@ObviouslyBlonde Ryan had a double for this scene. According to sources, Ryan had three doubles, two for dancing and one for “stunts”. I don’t know how many Emma had, she definitely had Goldblum’s wife Emilie for this scene, but I don’t know if Emilie did other scenes, or if there was another dance double for those. Both actors trained and did a large portion of the dancing, but for the more intricate pieces, doubles were used. Which is fair, neither are professional dancers, they’re just here to wow us with their insane acting performances 😂
Showed my friends this masterpiece, we are not friends now🙂
I'm very proud to see this movie
I think THIS is what people talk about when they mean the "magic" of cinema.
if u saw this in the theater just know i’ll forever be jealous of you
That observatory is so jam packed with people each day, when i was there i almoat couldnt imagine how this scene was shot.
This is beautiful 💕
I feel myself lucky to watch it in London Westfield theater.
does this movie remind anyone about Sleepless in Seattle? When Meg Ryan is sitting at the table with Walter, staring out at the Empire state building, and she says, "Im sorry, I have to go". She then runs out of the restaurant to the empire state building, maybe playing as she runs. Mia did almost the same thing at her dinner with her boyfriend. She apologized, and then ran out, running to see Sebastian at the theatre.
I wish I watched in a theater
So beautiful. We need more films to give us.....THIS! Well done all.
It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? To be young and in love. 💖💞
EMMA STONE Y RAYAN GOSLING,, SON ARTISTAS COMLETOS,,, TODO LO HACEN BIEN! INCREIBLE!
I just barely saw this movie for the first time the other day! I am hooked to the soundtrack and this Beautiful film. ❤
Spectacular movie..
The first 5 seconds are surreal!
I too enjoy this scene. It stirs our emotions and embodies the human condition.
When you live a dream for a very short time and wish to become your whole lifetime but always good times are rare and short @ least i live the dream❤
How many legends are watching in dec 2020 before,on or after.
Me
this movie is everything to me
The final sequence where they drift back down into their seats is actually being played in reverse because they shot it backwards.
This made solidlify my notion that the Osars are bought.
They don't score films like this anymore
I mean, it’s only a few years old, so to say they don’t score like this anymore seems a bit pre emptive. Justin Hurwitz, who composed this piece, was only 30 at the time, and is still working on film scores, so expect to hear more amazing pieces like this.
@@davidsinnott7160 I just mean this score is like old-style Hollywood, which you don’t necessarily hear in most movies nowadays
I love it!
So beautiful I am addicted to it thank yuo
what a great ending
Ryan is such a good dancer. Who knew!
Wow this really seems to represent the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
not me watching this at 5am while drinking coffee lmao
Why you up on 5🥲
This is so beautiful
This is my favourite movie💋
Im crying now omg
eu estou aqui de novo... em 2021.... pq esse filme é incrível
beautiful scene Im not into these type of movies but interestingly fun
Can we have LALA LAND in theater again?
I loved
Beautiful scene ✨
im just thinking though...if cinema is an illusion, then this scene could symbolize that they had mind blowing se- LOVE! ehem the scene symbolized their love...*clears throat
Eu amo La La Land
The shot at 1:19 reminds me of something, I am just not sure where did I see that before? Anyone knows any other movie or video when they look back at the espectator for a sec
I just loved it
Maybe the scene of Howls moving the castle from Studio Ghibli. When Howl and Sophi fly into town.
It is even evident that the music in this scene is similar to the ghibli movie.
Esse filme parece um sonho!
I enjoyed that clip too.
This scene makes me think of Dua Lipa's song Levitating
Tremendo musical
only 8 comments on this? damn
There are several clips of this scene that have been up for several years. This is a late entry.
godddd to be That In Love.
everytime i see this secne i think of the first love of my life and how i wish she was still here she meant the world to me
Ugh the music at 0:46😫
