    I'm truly delighted how many people this has reached. 25,000 in the first 27 days. Thank you everyone and especially Tony Brooks for the wonderful narration. You folks are wonderful. Cheers! Francois

    As someone who lives there now, it is so fascinating seeing what my areas used to be like 100 years ago. The state it has since fallen into should be counted amongst one of the greatest shames in all of Pennsylvanian history.

      I still live outside the area towards shickshinny. It's an ok area. The BS that does go on doesn't really involve alot of innocent collateral tho. Although drugs are becoming rampant after being found to be a great hud for the tri-state drug trades. Places like sherman hills, OKT, and majority of developments in the area and surrounding towns getting alot of trafficking in the areas. Could careless about the pot since that's making a change but heroin and meth are such a huge problem. Along with the recent spike in fentanyl laced products in the past couple years has added to a sad death rate we are starting to carry. Industry is doing great still just inner cities are starting to slowly destroy themselves with the bigger city populace moving in to get away from it only for it to follow them. Scranton is a shamble of a city and so is hazleton. Won't be long before Wilkes Barre becomes just like them.

    Here's a thought, why not have the narration match what we are seeing.

    • @ReelLifeCanada
      @ReelLifeCanada  4 года назад +6

      A valid question that deserves a considerate answer. Tony Brooks was kind enough to produce the voice over in Wilkes-Barre at his expense and send the audio file to me some 3400 km distance in British Columbia. The voice over length was created to match the length and tell the most effective story. Sadly, It is very challenging to line up every word with every sight or location precisely. Also, I'm doing this for everyone's enjoyment. I have literally no budget. I find these films with the intention of preserving them, learning more about them and then sharing them with viewers like you. Otherwise these little gems would be lost forever. I've saved many of them from an ending in the landfill. It's great enjoyment for me to share in this capacity. I hope the explanation makes sense. Cheers.

  • @jonjayryzner

    In you narration, you keep referring to what we’re “ going to see” rather than what is on the screen now. It would have been much more interesting to keep the narration concurrent with the film. I was at a loss many times because I kinda knew where I was, but wanted confirmation. Thanks.
