Another suggestion -- the lightweight rifle can have a lot of recoil which can impact your accuracy. I put a nice muzzle brake on my CA Ridgeline in 6.5 Creeedmoor and (as I mentioned), it / I now shoot with it 0.25 MOA groups consistently with Hornady 143 Grain ELDX Precision Hunter. I've also had a lot of success with Berger 140 Grain Elite Hunter and Berger 156 Grain Elite Hunter in that rifle.
I have a 300 wm and a 6.5 in the same rifle. Both of them shoot perfect

Nice video. You should call up Christensen about your Mesa. They have a 'sub-MOA guarantee' and from what I have heard they stand by it. I have heard from others that CA rifles aren't all great. Mine shoots sub 0.25 MOA -- it's a fantastic rifle. But if you have problems, I believe CA stands behind their products and will fix your 300 PRC Mesa.
I have sent it back twice. Even the targets they send back there is a flyer on the 3rd round.

I've spent about 1 month comparing Christensen Arms reviews and I can definitely say the one caliber to avoid seems to be 300 PRC. Not sure what it is about Christensen but their 300 PRC barrels seem to struggle with accuracy and grouping in every platform they offer. I noticed complaints about it in the mpr models heavily as well and it's struggles in accuracy. In preparation for Spring Alaskan hunts I think I will be trying out a Christenson in the 338 lapua instead. Ammo is sky high right now but worth it for kodiak hunting. Good shooting. Great group. Think you probably just got a lemon with that 300 prc. Something machined wrong. Maybe the action threads are cut poorly or something. Who knows. Glad this one didn't give you a hard time.
Thanks for the comment. The 300 get worse with heat. 250 yards I can hit a 8" gong 3 of 3 but next 3 will all be misses

It's you, my wife and I's Christianson shoots lights out. My wife 65 creedmor mesa and mine 300 win ridgeline. Both within .500 moa. You do have to wear in the barrel. And clean properly afterword. 👌

It's not your shooting. I watched your arm while shooting and your breathing. Try a Franchi by Benelli. 800.00 rifle. Ceracote fluted stainless bolt 24" threaded and comes with a break. Got it in 300wm. Action is smooth as glass. Lighter than the Mesa. Which I hate! Also comes with the rail.
After break in it shoots .71" groups with factory federal hybrid 185gr. Check it out and compare the two. I'll even let you borrow mine to review and test the two. Love the videos...keep it true as you do.

Hey Sgt I’ve been a 30.06 guy since I was 16 and all I hear about these days is the 6.5 cred. I’ve never shot one so I can’t compare. I’m getting a new rifle for this year’s deer season. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone who has a 6.5 for me to shoot. So any comparison you can give me would be helpful.
I am an old 30-06 man myself. I think if you are familiar with the 243 it will help. Low recoil. Ammo a litte higher most likely available. So far I really like the round. Think 243 and 7mm-08. Short action low recoil accurate and flat shooter. I have been surprised. But, will not give up my 30-0. Thanks for watching
@Dale Ross they all are close. The 6.8 western is same diameter as 270. Just longer. I am a 30-06 guy myself. Almost always hunt with a 06. Out west I usually use a 300 win mag
@@SGT1911 heres my short story. I lost my legs about a year and a half ago. Went hunting for the first time in 4 years last November. Drove my quad to the blind and threw it over the top.
As soon as shot i fell forward onto the handlebars So I’m been thinking 270 but again I seen the 6.5 cred on a ton of videos. So I was for some hands advice.
@@Dougie72554 6.5 is rhe answer. Lower recoil and a flat shooter for a long way. Put you a steady rest across the front and you will be deadly for a long way. Perfect choice. Stay safe and keep me posted. Thanks for watching
Picked up a 2020 waypoint in 6.5prc yesterday sarge…carbon adjustable stock and barrel…i hope it shoots..that cartridge is .300 case with 6.5 bullet so that gets me excited…wanted .300prc but 6.5 will be hard enough to afford let alone .300… man if they ain’t hammers though and I’m all about big boomers..come with triggertech that adjusts 2.5 to 5lb..which take a dummy to set it harder…there out there as u and I know…Air Force got a splash 1 on ol ballon just a wk late…lmao..ol joe..he’s a dandy now

That thing is beautiful and as a left handed person we don’t have a lot of options so I appreciate C.A. though I would like a 30-06 I mean you make a 300 win mag and a 308 left handed just seems like you would have it in LH 30-06 but love there rifles good luck!🤯🔫👍🏼

30-06 is just a cartridge of the past and not many people are buying them chambered in that it's not reasonable anymore they're outshot and outdone by nearly all modern cartridges but they are a classic
I’ve owned a 30-06 for many years but it’s an old cartridge. There are better options out there so I can see why they don’t offer it. It’s a long action caliber with minimal gains over a .308
I'll be looking into a new Tika this year , price and quantity sounds like a winner , but then there's that Winchester M70. I'm staying away from some of the new carthages but I think the 6.8 Western is a good round but the PRC stuff it's just not for me. ,270 , 243 . 6.5 Creed more 308 .30 06 30 30 just look at all this candy and it'll aways taste good in a rifle.
My 6.8 western is a Browning X-Bolt and so far I am really pleased. I do have a Tika super lite that is also nice
@@SGT1911 Yeah it was your review that led me to the Hells Canyon and I get the Max Long Range and like it a lot. I just get my rings and rail in but Talley sent a three hundred dollars order in a cardboard envelope and the rings were missing so I had to call them and it's all good now. A cardboard envelope ! Geeez

Thanks for the comment. Ibhave gotten so much criticism about this itnis crazy. Obviously from people who don't shoot but still ot is nice to see someone else experience the same thing.
Had same problem with a CA mesa in 6.5 PRC, would not shoot better than a 3 to 4 inch group, after shot number 55 my groups started tightening up, currently has 120 shots through it and shoots half inch to one inch groups consistently.
I have not been happy. My 6.5 is sweet, not this thing.
Try the berger 156 Eol and 56.5 or 57 gr of reloader 25. We shoot that out of two different rifles and it shoots really well. Buddies bagara shoots the 56.5 gr load same hole at 100 yards.

Watched a lot of video reviews on these. 50/50 on quality control issues and accuracy. Frustrating to see for that price point
I hear you. I sent this back twice. New barrel 1st time. Glass bes 2nd time. Still not right. 1st 2 rounds good, every 3rd and after gets wider. As it get hot is get crazy. I can not get 8 inch at 200 yards. I am done with it. Ha e 300 win mag and 6.5 all good. The 300 PRC is a no go. Thanks for watching

@@SGT1911 I bought a savage 110 ultralite with the proof barrel. It shoots amazing.However, the action isn't any better than the $350 savage action on my grand daughters rifle. And the stock is pretty cheap. I wish I would have saved some more $$ and gotten something else. I was considering Christensen but these reviews are what kept me from buying
@@c.r.rg9529 I will not touch another CA. Take that savage and build you a custom stock at Boyds. I did one and bought a timney trigger. It is a nice one now

I have tried all kinds of recommendations from tons of subs.(some just stupid, btu i tried) It is the heat. As it gets hot it gets shitty. on the 4th round i dont even hit the gong. Thanks for watching
@SGT 1911 I try to shoot in 50 to 60 degrees weather than I go out before rifle season check my zero when it's 10 20 degrees. But yes, hot barrel is worthless and waiting 30 minutes between shots is boring

The 6.5 and the 300 wm shoot perfect. The 300Prc is crap. I have sent it back twice. As the barrel get warm it starts to spread. First 2 shot always good, the the third is 1.5 moa and by 6 it is outside 8 inches. Mine will be sold
