It's a shame the team didn't stay healthy

Sad this team couldn't win one...Payton got a ring with the Heat (SAD FACE) and Malone never got one.

People forget this team was what 18-3 before Malone got hurt if they stayed healthy man they would’ve won it all

And also putting thier ego's to the side as well. Too much drama with Shaq and kobe not on the same page for some reason, Kobe snapping at Malone beacause of rumors that he was trying ti hit on Kobe's wife. They were in a awful mess with drama's despite the super talent they were known for.

Too bad Phil Jackson couldnt handle having Payton on his squad on the way he knows. Not everything is about triangles. Payton could be a real force instead of Derek. With Malone basically out in Finals and Kobe eating the ball Pistons just got it away from Malone`s last chance of a ring. We cant forget Malone was 40 at this season. And he finished many of his 41 games with more assists than Lakers guards.

Lets give credit to that pistons team. 1. Larry Brown was a good coach. I think he lost once before to phil with the sixers 2. Ben wallace was a defensive beast. I believe he got defensive poty... Crap ft shooter 3. Rasheed had a strong passion and really opened the floor with his mid range and es 4. Tashaun Prince was a great wing player. An incredible block on reggie miller 5. Rip Hamilton had a cool mask. 6. Big shot Billups great drive/3/ball handling 7. Nice bench with hunter and cambel
Big lakers fan back in the day. Miss the old spurs squad too
      End rant

@@joshuafult84Get over it dude. Luck had nothing to do with the Pistons whooping my Lakers ass in the finals. No one was beating them that year. You want to look at a fluke title team: look at the 2015 Warriors and 2016 Cavs.

+Salva46 LMAO Good point but you got to remember he was being guarded by Chauncey Billups. Regardless I agree the Lakers should have won that series....The chemistry was just not there for them to have a chance.

Salva46 Payton struggled for much of the year under Chief Triangle. Malone, to me, was the glue. Him not being healthy down the stretch really hurt them.

I know it's really easy to say could of, would of and should of but I'm going to say it anyhow!! This super team should of been the team that went 73-9 and cap it off with going 15-1 to eclipse both Bulls records of the 72-10 regular win season and the best playoff mark eclipsing the Bulls 15-2 in the 91 playoffs.

He was biased at this time because he thought kobe raped the girl but alot of blame goes to kobe, shaq, and phil for diff reasons. Shaq for not being mature and still being out of shape, kobe's charges and attitude, phil's distance from kobe and antagonizing of him and not being able to get the team chemistry and morale on the same page
