After a week of struggling to rig this type of mechanism I finally found a satisfactory solution, none of the other tutorials I watched were neither useful for the specific way I needed it to work nor were they clear on the steps or tools used. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💖The algorithm really messes up sometimes, you deserve more visibility.
It does not work for me because it all pivots around the lower left corner. But the left corner must move to the middle for it to be centered. What did I miss?
Looked at several tutorials on rigging this type of mechanism and this is by far the best. Thanks for taking the time to make it! I have one problem though. When I parent the scissor pieces to the bones, they rotate. Any suggestions on how I stop this?

Hey guys how would you root the left side of the scissor because the armature is on the right side so how would the right side move along?
혹시 따라 배우고 싶은데 Rift 모델링된것을 찾기 쉽지 않습니다. 혹시 공유가능할까요?
Hi,Thanks for this , care to share the file ?

You might need to apply the transforms. Select your object, press Ctrl+A, and apply both rotation and scale.
@@PaulLornMCMy scissor is horizontal rather than vertical. When I set the owner to "Local with parent" that worked fine. Thanks again!
