They make low harmonicas, but in order to play harmonica you breath needs to shake a metal reed. Higher pitched notes come from smaller reeds, and are thus more reactive to breath, and easier to play. Things like bending and over blows and playing very fast licks are just much easier on higher pitched harps. You can get a Harp in the G below Middle C, which is a very common harp and still very playable. There are a lot of harps lower than that, but bending on the ones below G become a real challenge. If you're up for it though, look for a Low C or something.
Question. I just received one of these in Bb. Does anyone know what the god awful taste is to it at first? It seemed to have gone away, but i want to know what the devil i was, and may still be inhaling and if it's something that could cause a health problem. I tried their "customer support" which is automated online and a joke! I never heard back on it, but they sent me a survey to do on how much they helped me. I think you can guess my answers. You don't even get a chance to describe the issue on it. The harp itself is great! But with no help on that important an issue, it's surely NOT a good first impression, and I'm leary of buying more from them. And please don't get on the "only buy American" thing with me. I'm sooooo sick of hearing that and won't respond to it!
That taste your referring is likely the flavour of Chinese paint. Paint from China was banned years ago because of high lead, mercury ,and other highly toxic compounds. I would not put that in my mouth!……in fact I would not put anything in my mouth from China or India.
I am back playing harmonica with my band after my stroke
Play on!!
Stay safe ❤
Glad to hear it. Keep playing!
keep it going, so happy music stays with you forever
Good pricing. Sometimes they can be a little rough on the lips but that's easily fixed with a fine metal file and a little polishing.
Always lovely to hear ya dear Brendan!
I have a full++ set of T008Ks, some white, some black, most are blue (to play the Blues, what else? :) )
Thanks again for sharing
Hi from mount alto Inistioge Ireland
Make it in America and I'll buy it. Nice harp though.
Buy something inferior for more money. You deserve an American Harmonica.
Wow
Cool! Glasses for what?
Thank you! Just bought it today -- beautiful instrument! How long would it take for a professional musician to learn to play the way you do? ;)
why are harmonicas notes so high can,t they go below middle C .nice vid thanx
They make them in some Lower tuned keys. A low C is tuned an octave lower I believe. They even make a double low F. LLF
@@allenhawker3911 thank you will investigate.I play piano and sing in G from five semitones below middle C .thanx
In addition to the usual lower keys - G, A... some companies make a whole set of lower scale keys.
