Themes won't enable in Main Menu Editor.
i just randomly figured this out myself but this was also helpful to what you could do with theme changer
You can enable the "Theme and Apperance Settinjgs", but when clicking it, it doesn't launch (or maybe it crashes while launching).
-So ... sadly, it never shows up.
I had the same problem, from a fresh install. If you run lxappearance from a terminal window (which is the same thing), you get a "segmentation fault" error, which is the clue on what to google. The solution is (also in a terminal window):
sudo apt remove lxappearance-obconf

You need to do this, in a terminal window:
sudo apt remove lxappearance-obconf
After that, it should work from the menu once the option is enabled, or by typing:
lxappearance
