I love it... there's more lessons on my youtube page... give me a call if you can't find them or if you need more direction. Thanks for watching my friend and talented soul.
I am glad you liked the video... I am planning to do Part 2 of my 6/8 beats series soon, and it will be much more in-depth. Thanks for watching and please subscribe
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing! I’m interested in checking out more of this music. Could you please let me know some classic recordings to hear the percussion in this style?
Thanks so much for the comment. I learned a lot in the past few years playing in the Persian music market so when I had some time during the lockdown I decided to do some instructional videos... Here are a couple of popular traditional Persian songs featuring some of the beats I detailed and there is ample percussion in both clips. I am playing drums in the 2nd clip... ruclips.net/video/ZPwqhJ8BFNM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/QRW8BWpmLxc/видео.html
@@haddadbeats thank you such much. I love the groove of these tracks, thanks for sharing. And it’s so cool to see the way you’ve applied them to the drum set
Really appreciate you listening and digging what I do. I have many videos from live concerts where I get into some sick grooves, you might like this one ruclips.net/video/b6-AIeF-9d8/видео.html
Yours is good enough but still I can hear that western feel in it and that comes from the way you arrange your Contretemps. To understand true persian 6/8 listen to this: ruclips.net/video/u-uHqzqRCUU/видео.html
I've been playing Persian 6/8 for 25 years, I think I understand it. Yes of course I do have a western feel, I am from the west and played western music for years before I discovered Persian Music. I imagine this feel adds to the uniqueness of my swing in this genre.
I’ve known you for over a decade and it’s been a pleasure singing to your drumming! and I’m so stoked to be watching and learning from you on RUclips!
