يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوْمِ ٱلْجُمُعَةِ فَٱسْعَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ تِجَـٰرَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا ٱنفَضُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَآئِمًۭا ۚ قُلْ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَـٰرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ O you who have believed, when [the adhān] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allāh, and remember Allāh often that you may succeed. But [on one occasion] when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muḥammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allāh is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allāh is the best of providers."
Allah isn't harsh!! there are many people in this world who can't make Friday prayers due to work commitments. that doesn't mean they don't take their deen seriously!! Id advise Muslims to take knowledge of a proper scholar and ask him about Friday prayer than a road man!!
After seeing what Allah Himself commands us regarding the Friday prayers, we say work commitments is never ever an excuse for leaving off the Friday prayers. See!👇 { يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ } [Surah Al-Jumuʿah: 9] O you who believe, when the call for Salāh (prayer) is proclaimed on Friday, hasten for the remembrance of Allah, and leave off business. That is much better for you, if you but know. We really need to be humble while dealing with the religious issues and not jealous of any one. Allah has used akhi Ayman to spread His Deen alot that we can see AlhamduliLLah!!... so it doesn't matter whatever you call him. The truth is if people really cared about the religion of Allah which Allah has ordained on them, based on Allah's commandments, they will never compromise anything for the Friday prayers intentionally. So I advice you and myself with the taqwah of Allah and that we should stay humble and seek the reward of Allah instead of following our low desires around.
The main Matter comes in because we believe that we have been sent to this world to praise and worship Allah, so that should be the priority to come first in ones life and the other matters to follow after that. But its Easier said than done and its where Tawheed and faith in Allah comes in play.
I would suggest to go and ask a scholar who is in a position of doing fatwas. That way you will be on the safest side to find out whether it is allowed to skip the friday prayer or not, according to your religious school of thought and scholars.
