I always thought that was a weird line. It's his own clone, but he says "go boy" like it's his pet dog😂
The point about lane stalling is even more impactful when your lane opponent is early teamfight hero like Yuzhong or Terizla. More often than not, just by "forcing" them to freeze the lane against you is an indirect help for your team since they won't be able to join early skirmishes as fast as usual. Another plus side is that they won't be able to rotate comfortably without risking their turrets taken down by you (same upside for other pushers like Zilong, mid Zhask, or Gold lane Popol)
As a Zhask main, yes my main objective is push, teamfighr is optional after the push
@redandrit2105 Yep that's someone you learn to play with as their teammates.
Let them cook, let them split push in mid-late.
Definately don't blame them for not joining teamfight or they might really join teamfight where you realise you don't actually win the teamfight early-mid game.
Zhask is especially useful as bait. If they engage on him, the enemies lose alot of hp fighting mega spawn then you can counter engage.
Sun and zilong are better as finishers and can almost one shot once the enemies don't have skills ready.
Gold lane popol is just meant to win lane so the roam has to babysit.
Stuff like that.
can be recountered by lane cuts if your team gets comfy with you lane stalling. Did it once as YZ and i was able to catch up to gold lane's turt without my lane getting messed up.
I really love when enemy exp decide go to mid lane after I buy crossbow. Like it literally free turret if that happen. I play sun long enough I literally build up patient to play passive and calm no matter the situation, which is pretty bad when trying to play assasin(my lancelot is kinda decent tho).
I also want to add that you need to absolutely let sun goes to late game. Like letting him goes in late game is pretty much help you to win because it kinda hard for anyone to go 1v1 for him, other than his clone, his damage output is so damn crazy you can deny whatever tank build exist.
I haven't played ML for a year , but i bet he's still the same . For early game , he's more to a poker and annoy enemies . He can't really win much fights against early game heroes . But the real fun begins when it comes to mid game . If you can get sufficient equipments , he's definitely gonna shred enemies and turrets . That's where you wanna keep an eye on him . He can destroy you in a 1v1 or he can split push . To counter sun , you just need to keep targeting him and kill him often . Never drag the game till late game , otherwise a fully build Sun may eventually carry the game
As Sun, don't launch clones randomly, only to last hit and stay at full hp so the clones are hard to kill.
Pull back to disengage clones if enemy has very high dps.
Don't give their Exp lane extra farm.
If you are lucky the enemy will overconfidently try to kill the Clone only for it to disappear and they are left with only damage instead.
Sun in late game can deal good dmg but not good survivability against meta heroes😢
@@nt0027 yeah agree with you and he is not going to help when enemy pick alpha or freya. thats why im only building 2 damage items for him (corossion scythe and war axe) cooldwon shoes, the rest are tank items with cooldown such as bruteforce and thunderbelt. im using basic emblem for mana regen.

@@Ornyl in a full team fight, sun is actually pretty good, especially against tanky enemies. But against mm lile wanwan, he just gets shit on no matter what build he picks.
another tip :
don't use 1st/2nd skill when you think the enemy can kill it easily because it give a decent amount of gold and exp making them have the bigger advantage when you're already losing
even if you have to use it, use it then immediately run back to make the clone teleport to you
(edit) fun fact, this tip applies to zhask, the spawn he summons give gold too
True, the bunch of times i was facing Sun in lane, i always tried to kill his clones whenever he threw them randomly, especially on lv 1 to unlock my other base skill and try to kill him immedieately

Correct, there is still soo many players that don't know you have to tp back your clones if possible when it's low. Those day 1 Sun players are getting on my nerves.
I always think this when im up against a sun user, oh damn extra gold! Also the idea of hiting him with a clone then run back to make it teleport is a great idea
Here's another tip as a sun player throw out the clone and go as far as you can from ur clone so the enemies can't kill it since it'll go back to you immediately it's like a teleport so you get chip dmg while getting exp a very efficient way to play him while kiting the enemies to your side

Cause sometimes clones being aggressive just add +1 more minion to lanes, giving advantage to your opponent

There are three types of EXP Laners. The Sustain + Poke Type like Yu Zhong, or Lunox, The Invader Type like Hilda, Jawhead, or Grock, and the Push/Late Game type like Aldous, Sun, and Argus. Sun falls to the third category, he's easy to bully but once in mid game he will find an opportunity to push.

If playing games has ever taught me anything, it's keeping a cool head and you would be able to figure out most of your problems.
I've been using sun for 3 season and what i noticed is since he's a late game fighter,he should be played as safe as possible until he get 2 item atleast..from early to mid,his playstyle would be,stay in the bush,wait for the opponent to use their skill for example terizla & alpha,wait for them to use their skill 2 on minnion or other opponent & thats his green light to go..keep repeating this process to until the opponent got nothing left to fight..this new sun deals true damage so i go for sea helberd after corrosive&golden if the exp was spell vamp fighter...
Therefore i have 2 build for him:
*When you < laning opponent OR vs Aggresive Opponent
Use Support emblem with
#1 talent: Cooldown
#2 talent: Tenacity or Mystery shop
#3 talent: Concussive Blast
Spell: Revitalize
Build:
1 .Magic Shoes (you will have 25% CDR after buying it)
2. Molten Essence (upgrade to Cursed Helmet later)
3. Thunderbelt
4. Dominance ice
5. Corrosion Scythe
6. Sky Guardian Helmet (swap with Immortality if needed)
NB: The order of build may vary due to enemy's composition
Q: Why no magic defense item?
A: Because most of enemy mage will aim your clone instead of you.
Pros about this build (include emblem and spell):
*Very low CD for skill 1 & 2 at mid to late game. This is important for escaping in crucial situation.
*A bit tanky and have 3 source of damage (phyical, magical, true damage). Having decent magical damage and true damage means ignoring WON effect from enemy's MM.
*High HP regen (although enemy buy anti-heal item)
*When game reaches late game, you can kite the enemy with ease due to Low CD of his skills.
Cons about this build:
*Less damage compared to common build
*It takes quite a while to kill a high mobility hero
*Slow of taking objective (ex: turret)
*When you > laning opponent
Use Assasin emblem with
#1 talent: Rupture
#2 talent: (whichever is fine)
#3 talent: Quantum charge
Spell: Inspire or Petrify
Build:
1. Magic Shoes or Tough Boots
2. Corrosion Scythe
3. Windtalker
4. Demon Hunter Sword
5. (based on situation)
6. (based on situation)
NB: The order of build may vary due to enemy's composition
Pros about this build (include emblem and spell):
*High dps
*It's easy to melt squishy or even tanky enemies
*Fast secure objective (ex: turret)
Cons about this build:
*just have one source of damage (enemy MM can survive with WON)
*your clone will be easily deleted with spreading ability skill or heavy AOE skill (ex: Luoyi, Moskov, Melissa, Alpha, etc)
*Cannot kite enemy longer
I use arrival for sun and cdr build. Just go and use clone jutsu to destroy towers and juke enemies to bait there skills. And when theres a clash somewhere, just arrival on the other side and push so that you either force the enemies to retreat and give your allies time to regroup or chase them or you can end it before they realize
For me,He better going to be a Jungler,bc he is squishy like he is Assassin for exp,He is Zilong but with Claude Build
Not that good actually.
Sun can survive better in the jungle but your team is losing out on alot.
You don't get turtle priority because of Sun being weak in early game with not much burst.
Your ganks are weaker because not much burst or stun.
Even your jungling speed is'nt the best because Sun is item dependent.
Sometimes feels like there is no jungler when Sun is the jungler which can be very dangerous for the team.

If you use Sun, you'll get dominated by either Hilda or Martis jungler.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx Yep good point the invade problem too in high mythic or when lower ranks are trying to be funny. (But it works because Sun is 3 minions before first item).
To be fair any strong early game jungler works or counters.
I can think of quite a number more. Julian(enhanced skill 1 blends clones into gold), lancelot(free reset for skill 1) baxia(0 damage clones), balmond(see julian), dyroth etc that can invade and suddenly make jungle even more unsafe than exp lane.

Enemy Lancelot or Fanny are hard to target lock so you're pretty much know how doomed you ae due to the lack of mobility.
I usually use blade of the haptaseas and windtalker to maximize his 2nd skill damage...fck hell it work like charm....

Not a sun user but I played against him like many² times, I think you should be more wiser to use his 1st skill. Unnecessary use is a big no no, it gives some amount of exp and gold to the enemy during laning phase.
I guess Sun said "i finally have a purpose"
I hate how they did the same thing to Sun like what they did to Zilong's voice. They sounded from hardened Veteran Warriors to pre pubescent teens who doesn't know pain

I love facing aggressive Sun player that usually sacrificing the clone. The gold for killing the clone is quite big in early game.
I see this and i feel happy, because everything you said here matched with my thoughts and it just means i keep on improving in-game
I think your a really good sun user. He’s one of my favourites but hard to be useful in mythic without some smart plays
I'm a Sun Main and he isn't that hard even in mythic,just play super safe until you got corrosion scythe and push whenever it's possible

I played him once and found it hard to join team fights cuz clones died fast and i died faster than i can kill mage or mm won that game cuz i had arrival and just tp to core cuz all i could do was push

As a Sun main, you can't be aggressive with Sun. You have to outsmart your ennemy. Most of the time it's all about letting your clones finishing the enemy while you're at a safe distance.
Your second skill is for confusing the enemy that use single target skill/rely on basic attack.
You only jump (you and clones) only and only if you think you can guarantee a kill
In my view, Sun and Argus are pretty much useless against most fighters unless the user is so much better than the enemies. Removing Argus's cursed effects really hurt him.
Tip: Take down sun's clones to get extra gold before it despawns
why is an early game dyroth playing safe and passively against a late game sun?

Yep this whole video says it all on why I use sun. He can easily push towers once you're fully built and maxed lvl

Sun is a monster of Epic Comeback if you are a Tower Eater and not a Clash Goer. Also, need a lot of patience in early game.

I find it best that if you spam his staff (it has "some" dmg not just clones) to early minion wave and get lv2 fast, then you can bully your exp enemy more easily. So the key is to get lv2 asap. That is ofc if your enemy is not early monsters like dyroth lol if its then just play safe.
His clones give exp and gold. His clones also have less defense than him. He doesn't have a disinegage skill nor CC.
Using 1st skill on an opponent early game only makes them stronger.
Sun's buff is unnoticeable. He even got a nerf and no one mentions it.

I don't even count it as a buff nerfing the heck out of clones attack effects from 100% to 50% to 40% killed this hero, terrible early and even late game against many meta junglers and exp heroes...this sun just doesn't work
I'm pretty sure it was ALWAYS BEEN 50% before, never 100%, it was just never been written down in the skill desc. until somewhat recently. Same goes for other multi-hit heroes like Natan, Karrie, and especially Claude

My thought on sun. I think the dev can change his his role to push and finisiher. Also he is suitable to interrupt the enemy hyper when taking the lord / turtle.

Yes, Sun is not for aggressive players. I play him and i have this strategy to avoid or distancing myself away to the enemy everytime i know i wasted my clones because i believe this clones gives exp and gold to the enemies once they've killed it. I only go for a fight against heroes with less mobility and long skill cooldown because Sun may summon clones but he's weak against heroes with burst or AoE damage skills like mage and other fighters
I had some trick for all who wanna try to use sun. Sun basically a fighter are good on 1v1 fight cuz of his clone without it he really squishy hero but you guys need to avoid hero with area damage doesn't matter if it fighter or mage he lose against enemy with area damage cuz enemy be able to hurt him and his clone.

Sun is a late game and I am a sun user I maybe an aggressive player but it I know to take a timing in striking the enemy. Just let have an item and u see his damage increasingly lowers the defense of your enemy because of his doppleganger

yes he has a clone but that clone is just a free pack of gold for your enemy, so if you are farming with your first skill in laning phase then YOU ARE JUST MAKING YOUR ENEMY RICH AF.
Happened to me, the enemy's sun just keep spamming his clone + dying 2 times + I have full gold plating and I already have 5k gold in 5 minutes
And if you bring him to jungle, good luck because he's worse than assassin in term of jungle speed. Even Xavier and Cecilion could invade him if they want to

I used to be tank sun. Only need corrosion and golden staff, my tank sun becomes aggressive
It's called "Lane Freezing", where you bring enemy minions closer to your turret, but not shooting them, so it can give spacing and last shotting advantage, so basically don't take small trades. A must do in LoL if your matchup isn't helpful, or if you need to get a specific powerspike, like an item or an ultimate. If you master this technique, getting to Glory won't be hard. Good luck in advance!
As a solo player, i doubt i will get a good team who actually ganks properly or gank my lane. And Sun seems really dependent on early game ganks

Sun should have a 4th skill that allows him to exchange positions with any of his clones.

He is weak now. Attack is slower than before and needs at least 2 items before he can clash. You need to be very careful during early game. They ruined Sun 😢

I think its skill issue,for early game,if u want take last hit minion just throw skill 1,and go far away from the place,the clone of sun will go with you,plus enemy doesn't get the neither exp or gold

it's all fun until there's no one to help ganking at ur lane. One of the reason I don't really like exp sun because most of the time you can't help ur jungler during turtle fight. Especially if your enemy has good draft and teamwork.
Some times I act like one of the clone so the enemies doesn't recognize the real me and it work sometimes 😅 depending on the enemy specially chou player no offense
2 things i didnt like tu use sun
1.the clone generates money to enemy.
2. The sun hp and skill itself is so low that any exp lane can dominate easily.
