Pro tip: I recommend farming up plenty of eyeballs (they don’t particularly matter, although you may be able to do a bit of extra dmg with elemental effects, but any kind will suffice). The homing feature makes this significantly easier, especially when combined with Lynel bows. Can take down all three heads in about 3-4 shots without worrying about missing.

Yeah i literally just beat my first gleeok using a 3 shot lionel bow with like 28dmg and keese eyeballs. Sometime 1 shot will even hit two head and take em out. Then i just bust out a large weapon (any that does the whirly attack when u hold down attack) and took em down in like 3 cycles before they go way up in the air and do that big fireball comet haha.

It’s interesting that Gleeoks sorta take the Lynel’s place as the baddest enemy you can find and fight, but Lynels you can actually fight reliably without spending too many resources. If you just keep shooting them in the head and then mounting them while they’re stunned, you can deal lots of free damage to them since your weapon doesn’t lose durability when attacking it on its back. Gleeoks are just always resource intensive. You’re gonna need a bunch of arrows, but your melee will not be spared and those headshots are very hard to get without eyeball arrows. Plus they passively change the environment around them, so you need to get status protection just to be near them. Gleeoks are an investment to fight. But those rare resources that give you massive attack bonuses are certainly worth the effort when you find one, if you can beat them that is.

I just defeated the King Gleeok in the depths. It was the first Gleeok I defeated, and apparently I was underpowered. Each head took several hits from a spiked boko bow, and all the while I had to avoid attacks from all three heads *and* the wings, which kept knocking me down. And the rocket shield didn't go nearly high enough, so I had to ride currents to get high enough to shoot, all while dodging elemental attacks that I couldn't really see until they were too late. • @knyte8706
      @knyte8706 Год назад +11

Here’s something I found that might be good for farming rockets: in a cave on the volcano (don’t know the precise coordinates so unfortunately I can’t give a more specific location than that, but it is a bit closer to the top) there is a side quest where you have to use rockets and/or fans sitting around to move a minecart for a Goron guy to ride in. There’s maybe 3-4 rockets that spawn in there, and then you can just use one fan and attach it to the minecart. You can tell him to get in, but it will most likely fail, and the quest will restart and all the rockets and fans will respawn, but all the ones you already took will still be in your inventory.
Essentially, you can attach all the rockets to shields, start the quest and intentionally fail it, then grab more respawned rockets, rinse and repeat.

An even easier method than having to pause and fuse a rocket to your shield is to just ascend through nearby terrain. Almost all Gleeok fights have some terrain nearby that you can ascend through, giving you the necessary height to start bullet time and hit all three heads. The only thing this doesn't account for is their final attack where they fly super high, at which point a rocket shield or similar tactic is called for, but with King Gleeok's I would simply rewind time on the ice chunks that fall down

Accidentally found the king today. He's easy once you figure out you can stand behind the pillars, pop your head out real quick, and shoot him in his heads until he falls. Once he falls, take your best two-handed weapon and do a charged spin attack while hitting as many of his heads as you can at once. When he flies up into the sky and rains hell down on you, dodge all of his attacks until he stops, then target him with your best bow with keese wings attached and take out the last bit of his health. I found targeting him with a bow when he flies into the sky is easier than trying to fly up on the wind, as he makes it very difficult to fly up because he's dropping stuff on your head. I died twice fighting him trying to fly up to him, and then figured out using keese wings. I was able to beat him on my third attempt.
I don't imagine his lesser counterparts are very hard compared to him. I actually haven't fought any of them yet lol.

it depends, if you have a lot of empty shields, you can easily steal and fuse the rockets from the shrines xD
or you could even spawn and reuse a spring over n over to jump in the air
or you can even fuse a bomb on your shield (bomb barrel or simply a bomb flower) and if you try to shield surf, you'll get launch in the air (and im sure you'll do some dmg to it if you are close enough) but it does destroy your shield durability pretty quickly.
bonus tips for the fire one on the bridge: under the bridge, there's a bunch of broken pillar you can use to go ascend back up, so you can jump off, shoot arrows, land on those pillar and go back up. that's how I did it the first time.

The king though was pretty challenging since it launches everything at you and found it much easier to cut my attackd short once it hit 25 percent so I'd be ready to keep it grounded. I like to put down a single spring instead of using multiple rockets. You do have to put it in the right positioning - close enough that you can hit the heads easily, but far enough that he won't blow it away with his wind attack after getting up, but with a little practice it's a very easy method.

It's definitely a little harder than using rockets, but more efficient on parts. Also, I think it's actually easier than fusing rockets to your shield mid-battle. So the coliseum lightning gleok was the first I tried and I tried so many ways to outsmart it but honestly the aggressive way is the easiest. I used the thunder helm to negotiate most damage and the rest was attack up armor + some random attack up 1 food I had in inventory. The easiest way was just running up the stairs and jump of to trigger bullet time and used my pile of demon king bows (from the boss fight that was like over 100 hours ago, man those bows are old, but useful in serious situations) to instantly kill each head, then wack it’s heads and run up again when it gets up. In the final phase I just stood still as the helm cancel the attack and can easily go skywards to make it splat against the ground.
For the kings ones the next day i just took my best armor (helm, memory leather, zonai), cooked one mushroom rice ball for each fight and just went there. I like to mention as this is before any lynel as they still scares me. In a way this was even easier as you can hide behind pillars and climb up them for bullet time. Tho the chaos of the final was a bit much but it’s just to find a good lighting prompt. DO NOT GO ABOVE THE BLIZZARD, you will fall. Either the demon king bow is long range or I have amazing aim but it’s fairly easy to hit the genus hit boxes and the stamina only depletes after each shot so take the time to line it up and spot their head behind the attacks. Tho one time the blizzard was in the way so I had to use eyes. Also fire arrows deals more damage against frost heads and vise versa

One important tip that makes it much easier to drop the heads is to use materials that work on the elemental weaknesses. So you can use ice fruit for the fire heads and fire fruit for the ice ones. This dropped them in one hit! For the electricity one there isn't an as effective material (that I know of). But I tested using splash fruit and it took it down in two hits - the same as it took using mild-powerful monster parts, just much easier to obtain.

I 1 cycle the King ones. Set up by going in the depths and standing in gloom till 1 heart. Use Knight's Claymore fused with Silver Lynal Horn. Hoverbike right up jump off bullet time and gibdo bone the heads, Spin to win. If you want over kill you can use attack food and Bone weapon proficient Knight's Claymore fused with Midugla Jawbone. Both Silver Lynal or Bone Prof. has enough attack to not let them get up. Just a few mins ago I bagged a Lightning Gleeok before his health bar showed up.

If you want to save your rockets for builds etc, what you can do instead is use the first stun round of the Gleeok to toss down a minimum of 3 wood piles & a Flint.
Smack the flint with a metal weapon to create a campfire circle so large that it creates & sustains a perpetual updraft that you can use in place of rockets.
As long as you or the enemy don't destroy the fires with your attacks, you have an easy updraft to bullet-time from for the duration of the fight.

I'm trying to take out the King Gleeok. Doing the rocket shield and arrows to the heads are not as hard but when it flies higher and starts shooting icicles and one-hit K.O lightnings is when I really begin to rage. There's wind currents you can use but the second I board one I get hit with a god-damned icicle and fall to the grown, right on time to get hit by lightning.

Also there's some in the depths too, at least 1 king that I know of atm.
And aren't certain elements extra effective against certain gleeok heads. Like water/ice against fire and vice versa. What would be strong against lightning if so? Typically been able to 1 shot fire and frost eyes with a fire or ice fruit with a mid strength bow. -certakn elemental eyes might be best to grind for certain gleeok fights if this is true

On the flat tops of the sideways heads each 2 or more beam-emitters stacked
I think, this one will be able to aim in horizontal direction and hight.

As much as I like the Zonai thing people make for the Gleeoks, I tried multiple times to make it work, but it always despawns or it was never in the right position, so what I did that wasn’t so taxing on my Zonai parts was use Great Eagle Bow and a LOT of Keese Eyeballs. As soon as you have the Gleeok heads in you line of sight and able to move, move as quick as you can to fuse the eyeballs to shoot at the heads. The bow made quick work because each shot lets out three arrows. Managed to beat it more easily than my contraption did and doesn’t require as much file reloading.

  • @vroommochi6222
    @vroommochi6222 Год назад +1

Hmmm you can just use Keese eyeballs or aero eyes with bows to hit the eyes and sword for king gleeok when it falls, no rockets. I just shoot the keese eyeballs and never let it fly above too high, just keep pressuring it with keese and aero eyes. (Usually when it left half to a third health it will try to fly way above your arrow reach, that is probably when you need rocket?) When it falls just whack the eye shit out of it so it does more dmg. I didn’t receive any dmg from king gleeok too. Got the one in the depths, in king gleeok den.

Another tip is the Arms of Seven because the sword does a 2x damage permanently when you fuse something to it I usually fuse a Silver Lynel mace horn because it would do 130 damage and instead of using the shield use the Hylian shield and if you have a lot of good shields attach a rocket to each shield because a gleeok will only be down for about 10-50 seconds I think.
Edit: If you can’t kill Lynels but can kill other enemies like frost taluses use the hearts of those silver enemy’s will work too.

So here's my advice. After 13 attempts because i rushed it.
1:one don't be nervous you can do this at any point in the game. Unless patches take place or you detour too often while doing this glitch causes auto saves to make your main save disappear.
    2. Stay a little left of the line
    3. Fuse the rock in the pond onto the boulder and stand on that. It could be okay if your slipping a bit.
    4. Fuse a claymore to another claymore this will be the first equipped weapon. I used a thick stick as my second.
    5. When you get that done and start to load back to the hard save in the beginning (which you can keep using that hard save; you don't need to play the whole beginning each time) im not gunna lie spam the pickup button around you in a circle.
    6. I don't know why doing it with two fused weapons might make it easier but since it large you'll hear it clank around. I heard it clank around three times before it glitched out of boundaries.
    7. The thing again with you new menu in the beginning
    8. And bam go watch his second master sword video with me if you haven't realized your game it auto updating right now yet!

These are great tips, but you don't necessarily have to use any resources or get arrow time. They're pretty slow and you can just aim, if you're quick enough. And if they get slightly out of range, just add a wing or eye to a shot- and he'll fall down and take extra damage. Spears work very well for dealing damage to them in the downed state.
