Thanks for breaking down in this video how much actual planning and time goes into a project. When watching one of the previous videos on this McDonald's clip I was wondering how much time goes into setting up lights and cameras etc. and then you mentioned the whole project took 6 months. I was so thankful to see that you don't pull this off in 3 days lol. The final product often looks effortlessly and many people don't realize how much work is involved and also break downs of these videos make it look almost too easy. It's good to see that the work I put into my own stuff is not merely exaggerated attention to detail but indeed what any pro would do. Not that I'm anywhere near that level but this video really helps to stay focused
Everything comes in the pre-production which is why it takes so long. The more pre-production you do, the better understanding you'll have around how much time it takes to shoot and how to optimize your day (that comes with a bit of experience and guidance). Thanks for your thoughts on it, attention to detail is huge in this industry.
@TenfoldProduction boring sh/t. + McDonald's is food for slaves
Still one of my favorite videos on your channel my friend! Where can we see the final commercial?
Loved the behind-the-scenes look at how you brought this beautiful McDonald's commercial to life! The attention to detail and creative vision really shine through. I'll definitely have to check out Milanote, sounds like a great tool for brainstorming and organization. Thanks for sharing!
This channel is so dope. I’ve watched everything from the beginning and have learned so much it’s insane. Please keep putting this wealth of info out.
Appreciate the kind words and support! Lots more on the way.
@@TenfoldProduction how do I support man? I’m a self taught filmmaker all the way in Atlanta and this is my go to repository for information and BTS tips n tricks. I’ve spent thousands buying equipment based on what you post and I’ve applied your techniques to my own craft. This channel is sooo underrated. Nitty gritty, “nuts n bolts” style info that can really be geeked out on.
@@OhMrMarston A subscribe and a share is always appreciated! We’re going through our first cohort course right now about spec work and hopefully that will be released in the future. We love teaching what we’ve learned so I’m sure that’ll mean more content coming to RUclips soon. Appreciate the support big time!
@@TenfoldProduction I’ll definitely share on all my platforms. If you guys set up a way to contribute directly to the cause, I’ll be first in line to help keep this ball rolling. 🤞🏾
Great breakdown sir, thank you so much for this 🙏🏻
Thanks Lanif!
I really like the Sony Vecine
Same! Haha
Awesome breakdown! Milanote for the Win!!!
@@jaymeshargrove yessir! Milanote is the best
Thank you again!
Thanks David!
Really cool to see and the imagery is beautiful. I'm in London, just down the 401. If you ever need help capturing photo or video BTS content for any of your shoots let me know! Would love to see how productions like these operate and just learn. :)
Thorougly enjoyed this!
Thanks for supporting!
love this breakdown 👍
Thanks Lauri
Thanks for posting this!!! Amazing insight! How much did this spec cost and who paid for it?
Okay first of all ... I learned A lottttt so thank you for this and the way you share your knowledge . I have some questions , how do you manage to do a spec ad like this without being paid because for all this production I guess that it cost a lot or maybe I don't understand how it work . I want to know more about this
Glad it was helpful! It does cost a lot of money, but you build your way up to this. It doesn't happen overnight either.
It's through connections and understanding how spec works as a whole. We've been doing it for a long time now and so it's become second nature for us. Often times we pull budget from other projects we do, sometimes there are people investing in the project to further their careers as well.
Great video
Thank you Bryan!
hey thanks so much for sharing your experience, really helped me to get a better perspective of spec work. I have an idea for a spec comercial, and I put together a moodboard, references shoots and even a storyboard. How would you take the next step and invite people to help you out? Who could I possible contact and how to get colaboration with gear and everything else? Do I need to spend my own money renting all the gear and location or is there alternatives? Thank uu your videos are amazing, lovely work xx
This get's really deep and technical and we'll likely break it down in the future. We are currently running our founding members cohort course around spec work and filmmaking. Eventually it may be opened up to the future rounds, but at the moment wait for some future videos where I break all of this down! Thanks
Good video however, no one in the real world will fork out money for a prelight if you’re just using a handful LED fixtures on stands
How much is to make a cinematic video with you ?
Wait is this re upload?
@@fatedpotato12 nope
but what was the budget for this? =D
