So much easier with the machinery and attachments. Way better than hand tools and took a fraction of the time. Nice finishing touches as well clearing the stumps, leveling the yard and doing the edges. Take your video production to the next level (camera stabilizers, etc) and you should be getting more subscribers. Thank you for the content sir.
I just discovered your channel, and I must say this is the most jaw-dropping transformation I've ever seen. You went above and beyond the call of duty by not only removing the trees and grinding the stumps but edging the lawn at the sidewalk and CURB! One man and a skidsteer with 5 attachments. Good grief, that is satisfying to watch! I also love the speed of your videos. Nothing is lost at super speed. You have a happy new subscriber!
Just discovered your channel and about 5 mins in I was thinking ‘wtf is he doing’? Then I watched to the end, and what a transformation. Outstanding work 👏🏼👏🏼
Dad bought a Zionsville farm with the GI Bill, college for all 5 of us. Now 79 this year, remember so fondly seining Eagle creek with a burlap bag, my brother John and me.
Your not scared to use the machine to its maximum….I like that..similar to AC, he’s not scared to use equipment to the full extent that he can. Yours certainly have good control if that baby skid steer. Love your stuff.
My gosh that place was a mess, as usual ya dun good 👍. Place probably ain't looked that good in decades, not to mention hauling off the piano that got ruined being left outside on the porch. The smaller, compact heavy equipment you use always amazes me.
Amazing transformation. It would be really helpful if you could provide a list of the different attachments you used during your cleanups, and why you chose each over something else. I saw what appeared to be at least 4 different pieces lined up on the ground for the different needs of the cleanup job. You certainly have developed the expertise to handle a job this size.
I can't speak for him but it looked like mower, grapple, bucket, grading plane and stump grinder. Most are self explanatory as to why he used them, but the grading plane is easier to use than a dozer blade or box blade. It's also cheaper and less maintenance intensive. Most people start with one due to the cost and the learning curve. You can screw up a grading job in a hurry with a dozer blade or box blade if you don't know what your doing.
I enjoy the instant satisfaction of your videos! The transformation of your videos are fun to see! You do a great job and seems like you love doing it. Great video, need more!
Thanks for posting. I have been looking for a video of one of these mini skids in action with good operator to gauge whether they are any good for a supplement to my full-size skid steer. You make it look effortless, and I will be going ahead and purchasing one. I couldn't make a decision based on a salesman struggling to operate one. You do a good thorough job, by the way. Cheers from Australia, mate.
You say you have a full sized skid steer and you needed a RUclips video to help you figure out if a mini is worth it? You either have are full of BS or have no idea what you're doing. These mini's are no different than their full sized counterparts, just smaller. Either you have a use for something smaller than a full size or you don't. A RUclips video shouldn't be your deciding factor.
Man! just bought a scag v ride II and this mini skirt it’s my next purchase for sure! Amazing work. I would love to see a video of you talking more about this mini skirt and all the attachments you use for it.
Definitely an inspiration man! I’m a full time arborist and just purchased a Vermeer mini to do small scale forestry mulching and fire mitigation in north Idaho! Keep on posting!!! What stump grinder is that?
I thought for sure the power rake was coming out to take care of the saplings and shoots. Non the less, you make it look easy. I’ve known some amazing operators and you my friend are right up there. Got a sub from me. Looking forward to watching your efforts. Thank you
Good afternoon The guys and I also bring beauty to the areas, demolish houses and clear out areas. Your work was very impressive, it’s a pity we don’t even have such equipment for sale...
Any idea of how long it takes to break even with the cost of the Vermeer? I’d like to do some similar work but prob have to get a cheaper small skid. Mostly for lawns and small scale landscape projects in my early retirement years while I can.
A new Vermeer 925 is 46k-55k, depending on gas or diesel. Plus, attachments can be several thousand more depending on what type you get. It will really depend on how much you are projecting to make each year. If 10-500k then a few years. If in the 100-200k range, then you could probably pay it off in a year or 2. With any business start-up, I would calculate what you plan on making the first year or 2, then figure out what your budget is for which type/brand of machine coincides with your budget. I started with very little and have purchased new machines/attachments over the years.
@@SchottServices Well hey...I remember when he had a Ford dump truck and a Komatsu digger. Doing drain pipes and driveways. Now he owns a mountain, a castle and a fleet of equipment.
@mikejohnson9118 that's amazing. I started my channel to let my customers/potential customers know how I operated and could see the different services I provide in action rather than just showing before and after pictures. So, anything beyond that would be extra, extra icing on the cake!
you do a great job man. i love your work and jobs. i do the same stuff but in michigan and not as smooth and as good as you. great job brotha. what atachment is that?i kno its the brush hog
Do you ever see any hickory wood trees that are perfectly straight I would like to at least have a couple of them so I can turn them into hiking sticks that would be awesome if can if not that's okay
If you would charge $500 for that job, you either don't know how to price or you don't care about making money. That job is easily $1,200 on the extreme low end. In my area using that equipment, that's probably a $3,500 - $5,000 job easily.
That is an amazing machine. A stump shredder, leveler, grader, all in one. Have to buy the guy of course.
Wow that was amazing...you are good at running that piece of machinery...bet the neighbors are glad to see that
I appreciate the feedback! The neighbors were very happy with the final result!

@mikel9567 don't recall asking your opinion mate.
Looks good. As long as you were there, I would have asked you to demo the back porch and remove the trees along the back fence.
It would have been a great job, but unfortunately, this homeowner didn't want to tackle any more projects at this time.
Never seen that before.
Man! just bought a scag v ride II and this mini skirt it’s my next purchase for sure! Amazing work. I would love to see a video of you talking more about this mini skirt and all the attachments you use for it.

I live in Indy and I would love to have your services in the spring how would I contact you.
For sure! My business info is in the description. Call, text or email or you can contact me thru my website
www.schottservices.com
Excellent job. Just wondering what type of forestry mulcher is that?
It's a brush cutter. Technically not a forestry mulcher but does a similar job.
Do you have a video of your equipment? Skid steer/truck/trailer/attachments?
Not specifically on those only but I you can see most of everything I run throughout my videos.
@@SchottServices I bet a lot of of folks would appreciate an in depth vid on why you chose the equipment.
I can't believe it's the same property! Great job! How many days did you work on that job???
2 days
Any idea of how long it takes to break even with the cost of the Vermeer?
I’d like to do some similar work but prob have to get a cheaper small skid.

oh my ..that land plane is the cat's meow.... cleaning that gutter ...1st time I've seen that. A master at his craft.
The Andrew Cammarata of Indy!

What brand is your stump grinder? Don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that.
Toro. Working on a video talking about it!
How do you find work? I'm sure word of mouth helps. But is there a website or someone sport that contractors can bid on?
All word of mouth, referrals or people find me thru Google search.
Great job. Much more than a $500 job.
How long did tht take?
2 days
What attachment is that at 9:05?
ruclips.net/video/zxd0j7kEm1s/видео.html
Are you pricing these jobs by the hour or the job and equipment needed
Everything I bid is by the job
you do a great job man. i love your work and jobs. i do the same stuff but in michigan and not as smooth and as good as you. great job brotha. what atachment is that?i kno its the brush hog
I appreciate that! It's a brush cutter
This seems to be a different time zone with all of the leaves. Is this from the past or did you move to the other side of the world somewhere?
February in Indianapolis
You didn't roll it or vibration compaction?
Not if growing grass. Grass seed prefers light fluffy soil to take hold. Compaction would affect new seed growth!
How many guns did you find in that mess?
Ha! None actually. But now that you ask I'm surprised I didnt!
That machine is the bomb!
John great work! Do you push snow w the mini?
Just on my driveway and a few neighbors
Do you ever see any hickory wood trees that are perfectly straight I would like to at least have a couple of them so I can turn them into hiking sticks that would be awesome if can if not that's okay
Not often unfortunately but will keep a lookout!
great job how much did you charge them?
I do not give pricing but do appreciate the interest!
